After months of long-distance communication, actress Parker Collins and artist Grayson Lacroux finally plan to reconnect in the seaside town of Wellfleet, Massachusetts. But Parker never shows, and weeks pass without a word, leaving Grayson to believe he's misinterpreted their budding relationship.

Parker has been running on autopilot ever since she lost her friend, mentor, and the only family she's ever known, Bert Stein. Armed with junk food, tequila, and her big, lovable dog, she's prepared to hole up and mourn--and determined to mend a fence Bert had never been able to with his estranged and bitter brother. But Parker didn't count on the sinfully hot artist she's been fantasizing about for nearly a year walking in on her grief-induced drunken night.

When Grayson stumbles across Parker, he has no idea what to make of the gorgeous blonde who blew him off despite the heat sizzling between them. But that doesn't stop him from feeling protective of the woman who's consumed his thoughts for months, and when he learns of Parker's plans to confront an angry old man, he refuses to leave her side. As Parker's past unfolds, they're led on an unexpected journey of discovery. Their connection deepens, and late-night fantasies become passionate realities, until good intentions spark painful secrets, threatening the love they've found.
Seaside Summers is part of Melissa Foster's bestselling big-family romance collection, Love in Bloom. All Love in Bloom series books may be enjoyed as stand-alone novels, or as part of the larger series.

We meet stunning actress Parker Collins and Artist Grayson Lacroux who have been communicating for months and finally decide to meet in the seaside town of Wellfleet but Parker never shows for this meeting and this leaves Grayson to think maybe he had got the whole relationship wrong…. Maybe Parker wasn’t as into him as he was to her…Parker has had a really tough time… her friend and mentor Bert Stein passes away….. he’s the only “family” she has ever known. Parker takes her big loveable puppy along with a good stash of junk food and tequila and some big bad scary movies… she decided to mourn her own way….that is until Grayson walks in and finds her….. Grayson doesn’t know what to think of Parker when he finds her in her drunken state …. Parker has plans to look up Bert’s estranged brother and mend the fences….. Grayson has no idea why Parker blew him off and didn’t meet him when planned……. He discovers why Parker did it…. Then discovers her plans to go and confront Bert’s brother….. being a protective guy Grayson insists on going with Parker when she visits Bert’s brother…. Twists and turns that you won’t anticipate happen….. This was an absolutely beautiful story they both have fantasies which become reality…. The sparks between these two is simply off the charts….. when secrets are revealed will it threaten their future?

Parker Collins doesn't have anyone to help her get past the grief she's experiencing since losing the one person that's ever felt like family to her. Eating a mountain load of junk food, drinking tequila and watching a bunch of horror movies seems like the perfect way to help her through her sadness. However, Grayson Lacroux provides an even better distraction.

Grayson Lacroux has been intrigued by Parker Collins for months. Unfortunately, they've never met and it seems unlikely that they will when she doesn't show at the time they planned to connect. Finding Parker in her time of mourning unsettles him, but he'll do anything to make things better. Even if it means helping her confront the bitter brother of the man she regarded as her only family. Can Grayson convince Parker that she's the right woman for him?

Ever since reading my first book by Ms. Foster, I've been slowly making my way through the books of different series that she's written. The Seaside Summers series has become one of my much loved series from this author, due to the incredible array of characters that go through so much to achieve their happy ever after. While providing both the right amount of emotion and romance to keep me -- as a reader -- entertained from start to finish.

This book started off really well and gripped my attention immediately with what the heroine is going through. She's lost someone important to her and is mourning the loss hard. However, it was the moment when the hero and heroine came face-to-face for the first time that was captivating and made this book fast-paced because nothing could knock Parker out of her grief quicker than a good scare while she's watching scary movies.

This is another great Melissa Foster book that has a large basis on grieving and how it affects us in different ways and how different people in our lives help us deal with our sadness. The two main characters are both such great individuals but amazing as a couple. This story shows how a friendship can blossom and then how love can blossom from that friendship. This book may make you cry and also laugh but it will definitely make you feel. These two characters have now become some of my favourites from Melissa's books

5.0 out of 5 stars A welcome trip back to Seaside! 21 July 2016

It was wonderful to catch up with the Seaside gang in Seaside Lovers! So, what did I love about the book? Grayson, Grayson, Grayson! Where to begin? I loved the way he saw the real Parker (or should I say, Polly) underneath the Hollywood polish. He appreciated her the way she was, and he encouraged her to let that side out more. And like all Melissa Foster heroes, he was the perfect blend of sexy alpha and romantic knight. I also loved the storyline. I enjoyed watching Parker make peace with her past, saying goodbye to her mentor by reconnecting with his estranged brother. And seeing her find the family she was desperately searching for was very moving. What I struggled with in this book was Parker as a character. I get that she came from a troubled background, but I found her to be very whiny. I felt like Grayson bent over backwards for her, and I don't know that she always appreciated it or reciprocated. Parker definitely will not go down as one of my favorite MF heroines, but fortunately, the story itself was strong enough to help me look past her shortcomings :-)

4.0 out of 5 stars “I want to be your more.” 21 July 2016

I just fell in love with love all over again. *sigh*. Parker had me hook, line, and sinker with her love of m&ms and Laffy Taffy, She’s my kind of girl. And Grayson with his neck-grabbing, jaw-stroking, perfect kiss—that’s every girl’s dream, right there. Or, at least it’s my fantasy.

“We’re going to be so good together,” he promised. “When we’re ready.” (is that not swoon-worthy?! I kind of melted at that line.)

Seaside Lovers is a soft, calm, smooch-y (Grayson does love his kisses!), relationship-y love story that doesn’t have a lot of angst or drama. The story isn’t overly drawn out with emotion. Grayson is acutely aware of Parker’s needs throughout the story and doesn’t hesitate to step in and take care of them, even if she’s not sure what they are, exactly. One thing she does know, though, is how much she wants him and loves it when he brings out her naughty side. It was nice to be able to catch up with the rest of the Seaside Gang and was easy to get lost in their comfortable banter. The way the girls welcomed Parker with open arms…I expected nothing less. They are the type of friends we all need.

I did feel like the last chapter was a bit rushed and could have been split into a chapter with maybe one more intimate scene followed by an epilogue. So much happens so quickly in that last chapter; you know when you turn the page it’s going to be over and you can’t help but be a little disappointed at what could have been but wasn’t. It makes me antsy to read the next Seaside book to catch up again! Regardless, I recommend it because it’s a great read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another amazing read by Melissa Foster 20 July 2016

I adore this book. Grayson is a sexy, hot, sculptor, who's great with his hands. Parker is an actress, who is use to hiding her 'real' self behind the person everyone expects her to be. After losing the only person that Parker considers family, she returns to Wellfleet to get away from the spotlight and drown her sorrows. The last thing she expected was to run into the hot and handsome Grayson. After months of emails and text, can something more develop between them?

I love the personality of the characters and how well they compliment each other. I even fell in love with Christmas, the dog.

5.0 out of 5 stars Relatable heroine makes very enjoyable read! 21 July 2016

I’m not rich and famous, but I really found myself identifying with Parker/Polly in Seaside Lovers. She wasn’t comfortable in the skin she had to show the world as Parker. Body image is a big deal in this day and age and Parker just wanted the chance to be Polly and not be judged. I can relate to that. Why are our true selves never good enough? Grayson was as sweet as the day is long. Too often the equation of romance novels is boy and girl meet + they hate each other on site = they fall in love in the end. It’s nice to read stories about normal romances, watching the relationship develop naturally. I’ve never hated anyone I ended up falling in love with. Seaside Lovers is definitely heading to the top of my favorite Melissa Foster books and I can guarantee I will read it over and over!
