The book switches between past and present, the past shows the different sides to the three main characters, Wrynn, Liam and Tripp, how their friendship developed and evolved, while the present chapters go more into how Wrynn tries to move on with her life , trying to remain strong for her daughters, after losing Tripp, the love of her life. Tripp is gorgeous, he has protected and cherished Wrynn every moment they have spent together since they first met, he is charming and loveable, and his devotion to Wrynn is unwavering.
I cried so many ugly tears while reading this, by far were the worst when reading a letter which I won't go too in depth about, but it is beautiful. There were also lots of happy tears, they came while reading the last couple of chapters which are amazing, again not too many details, guess you will just have to download the book to find out more.
This is a brilliant debut novel from Katheryn McNeill Crane. Her descriptions and attention to detail have you right there in the story, feeling every emotion of the characters, leaving you wanting to turn each of the pages to find out what happens next.

I absolutely love the writing style, it flows so beautifully. I'll be honest, I sobbed ugly tears at times, but the idea of going from past to present helped to lighten the book. The past took me back to happy times, it was beautiful to see how their friendship built over the years to all consuming love. A truly amazing story of friendship, love, family, happiness and heartbreak with one hell of a twist in there! Like a punch to the gut twist.
I really hoped to read more of Liam's story so was thrilled to bits to see he is getting his book. Kathryn Crane I will be stalking you for this!!!
Wrynn and Tripp have known each other since third grade. Combined with Wrynn's twin brother Liam the three were inseparable. Tripp became one of the family quickly eventually moving in. Friendship eventually flows into love. When 9/11 hits Tripp decides to follow in family footsteps and join the Army. What happens next is what shapes the Wrynn we know today. A single mom to 3 beautiful girls struggling to make it day by day. Searching for her tomorrow.
Being a military spouse I knew this book was going to be emotional for me. But I was not prepared for what hit me as I read this book, the love between Tripp and Wrynn is so powerful. Wrynn is so lost without her soulmate it's hard to read and not want to reach in there and hug her and help her. I loved how the book went from present chapters then to past chapters weaving in time as if it has no boundaries. The present giving you some sadness for Wrynn and then perking you back up with a perfect memory of happy times. All coming to a head at the end, mixing together, blurring the lines of time and making you question everything. This book was such an emotional roller coaster. 10+ stars for this book... Okay it will only let me rate 5 but really it's worth so much more.
Wrynn has had everything we hope to ever have in our lives... a true and honest love, a wonderful family, beautiful children, and an all around happy existence. Then one day her life is shattered as she receives news of her husband's death. Three years later and Wrynn is just going through the motions trying to survive and raise her three daughters. Wrynn was such a great character and so strong under her fragile exterior. I fell in love with her and my heart broke right along side her as she struggled to find peace without the other half of her heart. Her story is told in past and present so we get to know her from a young age and experience all the joy, pain, and struggles thrown at her.
Kathryn McNeill Crane does a beautiful job with this story and successfully broke my heart into a million pieces and then somehow put it all back together before I knew what was going on.
