About the author

Annette is an award-winning author, published by Affinity Rainbow Publications, who lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her wife and their five furry kids. With twenty published novels, three Lesfic Bard Awards, and one Goldie Award for her fourth novel, Locked Inside, she finally feels like a real author. Annette is as much a reader as a writer and always looking for the next lesfic novel to cue up. She came up with the One Fan at a Time tagline because it rolled off the tongue much better than One Reader at a Time. After pondering who she was at her core, it was all about connecting to each reader on a personal level. She would be the first to admit she doesn't do well with the masses. If someone picks up her book and it touches them she believes she has achieved what she wants with her writing by reaching each reader. It is who she is at her core. I learnt a lot from this story and just loved it!
Witty and funny, join Zari and Frankie in their journey. A book you can’t put down until the end.

Zari is a sculpture and has autism. I will admit, it took me a little time to get used to her little quirks. I liked it when she would came out with all these different facts. There was a time in the beginning where it sounded like she was immature/childish but I soon found out I was wrong. Frankie, who is a teacher, has moved to the neighbourhood and moves in next door to Zari.
I think they make a cute couple. They both have good chemistry. The book was well written, and as I said previously, I learned a lot more than I knew before about people living with autism.
Thank you Ms Mori for the learning experience and I look forward to your next book.

I just fell in love with Zari and Frankie. Zari and I might be different in some parts but wow this honesty and everything that comes with it, we are so alike there. People often don’t appreciate it and often don’t wanna hear an honest answer to a question they asked. Something I don’t get just like Zari. I also love my schedules just like Zari does and well I just had to smile about this and other things so many times. I confess I also had moments I cried for Zari because I just didn’t want that she gets hurt. People often think people on the spectrum doesn’t have feelings but believe me we totally have them and the feelings might be even more intense.
Then there is Frankie the one with the complicated relationship status. But when she meets Zari things change. And well you just want someone like her as your girlfriend. She totally gets Zari and sees her for who she is, which is just the most honest person with the purest heart. A person you want to have in your life and you can learn so much from it.
Last but not least there are also some wonderful side characters (minus Sam maybe... lol) I loved so much. Especially Zari‘s friend Jillian who helps and stands up for her. And most of all who doesn’t see her as any less. Wow I wish to have a friend like her.
I highly recommend this book and can’t thank Annette Mori enough for this masterpiece. There are still not enough lesfic stories around with MCs that are on the spectrum. But I’m so happy that there are more and more and she definitely did an amazing job with this novel. Zari just became my favourite character together with Anna from the Two Hearts Trilogy. 😊

It's absolutely amazing the well done research for this book. My most sincere congratulations to the author
