This was my first book by Piper Lawson, and I loved it!!
I really enjoyed the storyline, how they knew each other, but most of all, how they thought they could keep it a secret. NOPE!! Only for so long you can!!
I loved how Dylan would do anything for his family, including what he had already done for them.
Lex knew what she wanted to do it, and was on track until Dylan came back into her life. He did things, but he had reasons as to why.
I really enjoyed the humour in the book as well! I was laughing and sometimes shed a tear as well.
Well done, and I can't wait to read more by this author!
Some of my fave quotes from the book
1. Perched on Jake's lap was a pretty blond girl trying to devour his head with her mouth. - This is exactly how I would see it if I were to see my ex with another girl after we just broke up.
2. "She's not you, Lex." - The moment it all changed for Dylan!!! *Swoon*
3. He had been holding out. Not just on me, but on all of womankind. - When Lex sees Dylan without a shirt on for the first time. LOL!!!!
4. Friendly Dylan would lull you into a false sense of complacency, then crazy-hot Dylan would club you over your head and drag you off before you even noticed anything had changed. - Lex finally seeing both sides of Dylan!
5. "Is it cookies? You know I love cookies. I'd do a lot for a good cookie." - Me in real life!!!! COOKIES ARE LIFE!
6. 'If anyone can make a living selling overpriced skirts, it's those two.' - This just made me laugh cause it's Ava and Lex's parents who say this.

Lex is so well written, the journey of getting to find the little niche of love with the grey of abandonment and blame by her mum after her dad left them all through. Finding love and someone who finds her enough is just so good as is the way the author writes about the world of launching a bussiness, the hard work the sacrifices and hard choices drive can have, failures and picking yourself up and maintaining relationships. I loved this so much.

This is the first in the series, yet I’ve read this last. It doesn’t matter, they’re all standalone, even book 2.5 ‘Sealed’ which is pretty much the epilogue of Schooled (in my review I stated it was what happens after the HEA). I’m even going to reread the series again. I love all the characters in this series and I’m so glad I’ve finally read Piper’s debut. It’s not often I read about a younger man ( I know there was barely over a years difference between them) and an older woman, but it was refreshing. The best friend’s brother is not new angle, but even so I found the story refreshing and not so predictable, so much so that I had no clue where Lexi’s head was at. Dylan was so so mature and completely loveable. I loved the writing and the story, I’m so glad I found this author, I’m hooked.

Some major sneak-up-on-you-hotness in this book!
This was the second book I read in this series; I started with book 3 and loved it so much I wanted to start at the beginning. Schooled was an awesome "first of the series" in that it established a perfect foundation for the rest of the series.
But good gracious, I was NOT expecting the level of HOT contained in these pages!
Dylan is certainly broody and VERY intense. I really liked him, and I really liked him when he finally went after who he wanted; Lex.
And I loved when Lex finally pulled her head out of her bottom and went after Dylan right back! I was really rooting for Lex, as she went through a streak of horrible luck and couldn't wait for her to get her happy ending.
This is an outstanding New Adult Romance series, and I can't wait to read book 2!!!
(I received a copy of this book in consideration of an honest review)

don’t know where to begin with this book, other than to say right out of the gate that I’m giving it ***** 5 stars.
I unfortunately read Piper’s other book in this series first called Stripped, and that was another great read too, but this one was just all kinds of WOW.
From our Hero Dylan and Heroine Lex (Alexis), to the best friend Ava, Surfer dude Kent and jerk of an ex boyfriend Jake the characters are all well thought out and well written.
This story sets up the characters in the second book which I previously read. Ava and Lex have been at college for 2 years now and have dreamed up their fashion business Travesty, Ava is the designer and Lex the business mogul minded one, but there’s trouble brewing in the form of Ava’s 14 months younger brother Dylan, who’s just transferred to their college from Penn State.
After a chat to cheer Lex up when seeing her ex Jake sucking face with another girl at her birthday party, Dylan soon worms his way into Lex’s affections, much to her dismay. I mean what’s a girl to do when a drop dead newly transformed and filled out guy is sat on your bed confessing his inexperience and your being all kinds of selfless and offering to help him out by testing his kissing skills for him, purely for scientific reasons !!!!! But Girl code clearly states 1) no dating your BFF’s ex and 2) No dating your BFF’s siblings. But it looks like rule number 2 is about to be blown out of the water. And to say Dylan is allegedly inexperienced he certainly knows what to say and do when he’s got Lex alone.

Beautiful story. I love it

I love the chemistry between Dylan and Lex. There is never a dull moment when they are together as they have disagreements, funny banters, and don't forget the hot sex. Goes to show the age has nothing to do with love. The heart wants what the heart wants. Dylan is certainly a fast learner because it didn't take long for him to know exactly how to make Lex scream his name but I think he has always had feelings for Lex so he had incentive to learn fast. The story line is good and I love the way it progressed. The friendship between Lex and Ava is beautiful, the supporting characters are all likable and although Jake is supposed to be the unlikable characters I think he brought a little kick to the story. I hope there is a book where he finds love too and we get to find out why he is so complicated. I totally enjoyed reading this book.

A best friend’s little brother romance, which could be considered a ‘friends to lovers’ story since our pair have been on the periphery of each other’s lives for years.
I’ve read some of the more negative reviews for ‘Schooled’ but I have to disagree. I enjoyed this book. I liked watching the relationship between Lexi and Dylan change and grow. Lexi struggles between loyalty to her friend, Ava, and her growing attraction to Ava’s brother, Dylan. How they start out is a little awkward and clumsy but their attraction isn’t something they can fight for long. Their relationship is realistic, with both of them being confused and making mistakes. It’s oddly endearing at times. So, while it’s an easy read, it’s also a good one that I think any romance reader would enjoy. Happy reading!
Note: Book three of the series shows the continuation of their story and we get to witness it from both of their perspectives.

Truly awful. It was bland and predictable.
No depth of characters, repetitive and kept explaining things that were blatantly obvious.
The sort of book I would expect a young teenage girl to write.

I loved this book!
The tension between the two main characters- Dylan and Lex lasts until the end of the book. It is a cool start pull and tug which made me hang on right until the end without being bored.
This is a typical college romance book in many ways, yet the characters were much more mature than the average reads which made this book so much more enjoyable.
Looking forward to Ava's story
