Ms Sam Crescent does it again with this book, loved that Henry got his own book looking forward to more.... this book was well written and it just seem to flow really nice that i just couldn't put it down
Excellent another brilliant story where the man gets his women and showing his true colours along the way. If your into the gangster with a heart read on!
Ok I preferred this to book one, at the beginning Henry was an area but soon showed his sweeter side. Also prefer Lydia to Donna as she's less naive and accepts Henry's life. Hoping there's a story for Elijah.

Liked nearly all of Sam's books, but this, one as well as book1 of the Deadly Duet was far too simple for me. Felt like they were put together ' on the quick ' for the money. They didn't read like Sam's usual style at all. Disappointed.
Have read most of the books by Sam Crescent and afraid to say this one was a big disappointment started off well but seem a bit rushed and not a lot of depth to the story or the people involved.
4.0 out of 5 starsOne of the best books I have read by Sam Crescent so far.

When Henry killed her jerk of a boyfriend in front of her eyes, Lydia knew two things about Henry. 1. She hated him and 2. she saw a side of him that disappeared the next day, a soft caring side. Since that day, Henry had been nothing but a jerk to her but she has finally had enough.
Henry knows he is horrible to Lydia and after crossing the line with her he chases after her. He wants her, but Henry believes he is not what she deserves. He is a killer, a crooked man and when they both end up kidnapped Henry now becomes her protector. The incident has them both becoming close to one another and Lydia knows she is falling for him hard and the feeling is mutual.
I had not been sure about this one when I had read about Henry in Fear the Boss, he was so unlikable. However, completely changed my mind. He is a royal jerk in the beginning but he has such depth that when he shows his vulnerability he becomes an instant favorite. One of the best books I have read by Sam Crescent so far.
