Priscilla Masters is an extremely talented writer providing so many interesting and constantly evolving characters, great plots and enough red herrings to keep you guessing until the very end!! I am lucky that a friend of mine so recently introduced me to Joanna Piercy, as I am now able to binge read one after the other!! And as I lived in Leek many years ago the stories feel way more personal and interesting 😁

I really enjoyed this book. It was a page-turner. It kept you guessing all the way through 'who was the murderer?' Quite a twist regarding the 'missing Ruthie'
As the plot's been covered by a previous reviewer I'll limit my review to my thoughts about the book. I found this to be a very well written story, I never had a clue to who the killer was, no red herrings flung in to trick you the reader either, other than those that would naturally occur. The detectives came across as professional, no heroics or hysterics but engaging. Am I going to read more of Pricillas books you bet.
