Glad I got this through KU as it is a waste of time. As a long time fan of JAK I am very disappointed in this novella and did not like the diarised way of writing. I think this new branch out is pointless and hope she does not make a habit of doing these. It is 28 pages with the other pages spent on a except of another book.

Very disappointingReviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 December 2016
This book was a waste of space. There was very little story and then a large preview of one of the Arcane novels (which I already had). I expected a number of case file stories but there was only a very little one which I had read in minutes. Very diappointing for an author who is usually so good.

Very short. Quite interesting especially if you've read 'In Too Deep' which is Fallon Jones' story as it's a sort of prequel to that book.

I am really disappointed with this booklet. Only one case using very few words. Almost as many words are used to provide a preview of the next full length novel. Regret buying this. Not what I was led to believe but more like promotional material.
