I really like Hadley and Jeremy, and Hadley's story makes me so glad that smartphones and social media were nowhere near the horizon when I was a teenager... :-s

Hadley's grandpa and his poker friends make a great supporting cast, and I really liked how the story played out in the end.

It's not a secret that I love all of Amt Sparling's writing but this is the perfect summer read. It's cute and fun and leaves you wanting even more from her regarding these characters. I could write infinite things about this book but I would give away too many spoilers. I will say I feel almost like it's modern Jayce and Bayliegh and we all know how much we loved them. Seeing Hadley be forced into new territory that she doesn't want is exactly what she needed to realize she had quit living for herself. Definitely a must read!!!

After a series of difficult, humiliating, and unfortunate events, Hadley's summer does a 180 and she ends up having to spend the summer away from home. It's the worst possible news, until it isn't. No spoilers here, but I couldn't get enough of her new life, the town, Grandad, and Jeremy. This story hits all the right notes and has me feeling the summer, beachy vibes!
