Carrie

I’ve been in love with Jacob Blake since he picked me up in his strong arms. He held me close and promised me everything would be okay. I knew then, I had met the man who would own my heart forever.

I was five years old.

As the years went by, the need and longing for Jacob only increased—at least on my side. Jacob has never seen me as more than his kid sister’s best friend.

I’ve spent my life chasing after Jacob and trying to make him see I’m more than just his sister’s little friend. I never dreamed that by trying to show Jacob how much I loved him, I would also destroy him.

One night...one night that held so much promise, but ultimately destroyed the man I love and broke him in so many pieces, that I don’t know if he can be mended back together.

Jacob “Dancer” Blake

I’m finally home. Out of the hell hole I had been trapped in since killing another man. With the thrust of my knife everything changed.

That night I ended two lives, the scum who had been trying to rape my little sister’s friend... and my own. The other man got the easier out. I live and breathe in a hell I’ll never escape.

My brothers look at me with pity in their eyes. It cuts my insides out.

There’s trouble in the club, trouble all around us and I have to get my head straight. I have to be able to help them. Trouble is, I can’t even help myself. I just keep piling the mistakes up.

Carrie just might be my biggest mistake yet.

Now it’s another night that’s haunting me--a night that I keep repeating even if I shouldn’t.

I’m so trapped in the darkness that I can’t stop myself from going back because she is light.

She wants to save me. You can’t save something as lost as I am.

I’m going to destroy her.

I’ve warned her. Now I’ll show her.

Once again Jordan you continue to blow me away. This story has left me in tears and an emotional blubbering mess. From the first page to the last SAVING DANCER will grip you while it takes you on an incredibly emotional journey of a man who has been through hell and back, and the one woman who might be able to finally set him free. I was desperate to learn more about these characters and the mysteries surrounding them. I cannot and will not ever have enough of the men of SAVAGE MC. I find myself hanging on to every word until I'm out of breath and gasping for air.

Jacob "Dancer" Blake is finally released and back home, but inside his mind is the demons that still haunt him from his time in prison. Carrie has been in love with Jacob since she was little girl but he never saw her as nothing more than his sister's best friend and the woman responsible for him being locked up. This patient, beautiful, and extraordinary woman wants to be the one to chase away his demons and win his heart. Unfortunately this stubborn man has all but given up hope and doesn't believe that he's good enough for her.

From their you're taken on a ride of EMOTIONAL proportions. How does one survive something so incredibly horrendous? How do you keep your head intact and your soul alive when you can't even sleep without feeling his devil's evil touch? SAVING DANCER shows us what the strength of love can really do. Love can keep you going when you feel all is lost. Love can give you strength when your choices are taken away from you. Love can help you survive when your hope is slowly fading away. Love heals and chases away the darkness.

What an incredible, engrossing, and heartbreaking read. Jacob's story is a book everyone should read.

3.0 out of 5 stars On The Fence........ 9 April 2015
By S.A.S. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This is the second installment in the Savage MC series. Dancer(H) has just been released from his 2 year prison sentence for murder. He killed a man who was attempting to rape, the then, 18 year old Carrie(h). Dancer is very angry, and quite broken, due to his own rape by prison guards while he was incarcerated. He is suffering, in this readers opinion, from PTSD. How Dancer deals with this trauma, and how it effects those around him, is the bulk of the story. This is an MC romance that contains very little MC business or MC action. There are aspects of this book that I liked. There, however, are many more that I disliked.

What I liked.....
1. This book is well written. There were some editing issues with quotation marks. Either they were missing or in the wrong place. But no biggie.
2. This book is only .99 cents.
3. The subject matter, in regards to a man dealing with the repercussions of his own rape, is quite original in the MC genre. I felt the author did a
good job portraying Dancer's feelings and reaction to this trauma. They seemed realistic and not glossed over. I find that rape in fictional
romance books, particularly when the victim is a woman, is usually treated so superficially. The woman bounces back with hardly a care.
That has always bothered me. This author did not gloss over this subject and I thank her for that. Kudos! Dancer's feelings, and actions, were
heart felt and gut wrenching. I truly felt for the man. To A Point!
4. I found Carrie's inner monologue and dialogue also very realistic. I especially liked how straight forward she was in expressing verbally to Dancer
how she was feeling. Especially when Dancer was being a cruel azz. She was honest, precise, and to the point. She loved Dancer and she
truly wanted their relationship to work. She would let things slide because she knew he was suffering. She was not a doormat. She was not
weak. She was simply unsure of herself and Dancer's feelings for her. I liked her.
5. Dancer likes to use the expression "fock a duck". That is one of my favorite expressions. I thought I was the only doofus who used that
expression. I laughed every time Dancer said it.

What I Did Not Like......
1. Dancer and Carrie's inner monologue was way too repetitive. They pretty much thought the same sentiment. Over and over again. That was
unnecessary. It became boring. I get it. I do not want to hear it again.
2. Carrie is.....Oh God not again......a 20 year old orphaned virgin. This character description of the female protagonist, in fictional romance, has
been so over done. It needs to stop.
3. Carrie is kissed, first by Bull and then by Dancer, and she tells the reader both times that she has never been kissed. Fast forward a couple of
days when she is again kissing Dancer and she makes the statement "I've made out with a few boys before but nothing has ever felt this
fantastic'. What? Which is it?
4. The first time, and every time after, that Dancer and Carrie have sex he does not wear a condom. They have no discussion about birth control.
Carrie saw 2 women in Dancer's bed not a few weeks ago and she does not ask him to wear a condom? Great message on safe sex. Great
Message on pregnancy prevention.
5. This book, just like the last book, had unoriginal and forced dirty talk. It pretty much killed the sex scenes for me. Yep, my eyes were a rolling.
6. Dancer has a bad, one of many, moment. He drinks a bottle of liquor and then decides to end it all by driving over a ledge into the lake below.
He survives. This man was just released from prison. I do not know if he was on probation. It was not discussed. Regardless, after that
accident I am sure blood work would have been done by the hospital. He would have been found to have been driving under the influence
of alcohol and promptly been charged accordingly. Yep. Back to jail Dancer. Did that happen? No. I do not buy that and I could not let that go.
7. While I felt for Dancer, and the trauma he endured, I was getting pretty tired of his woe is me attitude. It dragged on too long. He was getting
on my nerves. Either get help or quit your whining.

As a whole, this MC book is not one of my favorites. Other than the subject matter pertaining to Dancer, this book is unoriginal. I felt I was reading the same old same old in terms of the characters and their actions. I needed more MC action/business. This book is mostly just a love story. I can see how others may like that, but I needed more. I will say that I commend this author for not making Dancer's character miraculously cured from his trauma. When the book ended he was getting help and he was on his way to recovery, but it was still an ongoing process. That is a responsible message and I can respect that. It is more realistic. As for a recommendation...... I am on the fence on this one.

3.0 out of 5 stars Love-hate relationship with this one. 10 April 2015
By Kindle Customer - Published on Amazon.com

Warning this book isn’t a light romance!

I was so freaking pissed at Dancer for almost the whole entire book! Yes, he had something horrible happen to him but that doesn't justify him being a dick like that. It was Cassie's fault. He treated her like s***. She loves him and she is weak no matter how bad he treated her she took him back. Yes, she loves him but that doesn't mean you get to be treated like that. I am glad they get their happily ever after but i wish it happened sooner instead of 97% percent in the book. I liked that he finally gave in and she tried to help him get better. I liked the book but Dancer just really bugged me.

I loved Breaking Dragon but this book put me on the fence. I have a love-hate relationship with this book.

I rate this book 3.5 stars

5.0 out of 5 stars A Hell of a Ride! 6 April 2015
By Momma Hellmouth - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I had the privilege of reading before it was published and here is my review and she didn't even ask me to give one.

Dancer, is so broken down that he took my heart pulled it from my chest stomped on it, and gave it back. That's the kind of heartfelt emotion this book had for me.
There were times in this book where I loved to hate him, and hated to love him.
Then we had Carrie and what a beautiful strong willed loving woman. My heart went out to her throughout this story. Carrie, could hold her own which made me love her even more. Is Carrie the perfect fit for Dancer? Well grab your tissues just in case you get emotional like I did while reading, get comfortable and hold on for a hell of a ride. The answer awaits you.

5.0 out of 5 stars A spectacular second book...Dancer was everything =) 7 April 2015
By SEB - Published on Amazon.com

Jordan Marie just keeps getting better with each book! While I liked Breaking Dragon, I rated it lower and didn't LOVE it and even though Saving Dancer deals with a much more heavy subject matter and is definitely dark, it really hit home with me and I devoured it!
This was one of those books that was so interesting, I did not want to put it down until I could get some answers. Dancer was a fascinating and broken down man...always having to be the tough guy...he didn't know how to deal with life or himself as a victim.
A crime which is primarily against women (being that we are weaker and more vulnerable) doesn't make it any less violent and invasive when it is a man who is victimized. In many ways, what happened to Dancer to cause him to be so dysfuntional with Carrie, was harder than even getting over killing someone as there was no easy way to erase the memories that would wake him up sweating and crying out in his sleep.
I really loved the tug of war Dancer had within himself and with his club brothers (especially Dragon who really wanted to help him but couldn't find the right way to do it) and when he realizes he has everything to lose by not getting help, things take a desperate turn.
Carrie grows up and becomes a tougher woman (not a little girl anymore) and faces not only the choice of whether or not to walk away from the only man that she has ever loved, but also a game changing event which will make Dancer forever be a part of her life.
I loved the supporting characters, the girl fights in the clubhouse, the tense moments between the brothers, jealousy, pain and mostly the passion between the various couples who make up this MC.
A really strong second book in the series and I look forward to the next one!
