Abel is also a Dom, and his appetite for seduction is legendary and intense. After a chance encounter with Gia, his need to dominate this woman increases tenfold. He wants to consume her, merge with her, and never leave her body.
Abel's emerald eyes touch the deepest part of Gia's soul in a way that terrifies her. She fears he can see her secret. Lies, guilt, and betrayal lay beneath her skin, and she's terrified of being exposed. How will Gia ever begin to explain? She doesn't believe she's worthy of him, and her greatest fear is that her carefully guarded heart will be shattered. However, she finds herself unable to deny this rogue tattooed rocker whose kisses just might ruin her.

This is my first Gina Whitney book and I'm blown away by Saving Abel!!!
If you like your Rockers alpha, dirty mouthed, troubled and full of broodiness Abel Gunner and Lethal Abel are for you. If you like your ladies feisty, fun and exotic then Gia Mastro is just your lady.

The book follows the twist and turns of Gia a legal secretary and Abel lead man and rock God for Lethal Abel as they discover how a troubled Dom and a sub with many demons hidden away can be more than just casual. They both have many twists and turns to negotiate due to other factors in their lives, but can't deny the pull they have to each other.

Gina's writing has created a world where the other characters are just as important as the main two, the rest of the band are more than just additional book decoration and Cindy, Gia's best friend is someone you'll love equally too, then Morgana and Medusa!! Oh their magnificently mean!!

I thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a book with great character development and plot, hidden twists and turns and a book ending that leaves you dying for more....

All I can say about Saving Abel is HOLY FRUSTRATION BATMAN!!!!

You feel a slow build of something during the book regarding the dynamics of the characters...their interactions and the relationship between Abel and Gina.

This book takes you on an emotional roller coaster to the point you want to throw something....hit something. ..scream in frustration as the shear heartache between two characters words come to mind other than OMFG!!! Brilliant Gina Whitney....just brilliant!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Eroticism at its BEST! 5+++stars!! 21 August 2014

I absolutely love this story! I love that Abel is open and honest with who is and what he wants no game playing here ladies. Gia is a woman who thinks she knows what she wants; well she knows she wants, Abel. But I am not sure of her motives yet as I started my review early. But I will let you know below. The sex in this book is amazingly HOT (cold showers will be needed)!! And how cool is it that this author put links in so you can check out this band OLN….umm….wow where have I been they are amazing! Music and books go hand in hand. The story flows perfectly and the pace is perfect to.

So yes Gia's motives do seem rather suspicious but I think you will discover that she really does care for him. I really feel bad for Gia right now. What will happen between her and Abel? Morgana......grrrr great name haha! Ugh she annoys me but I am more annoyed with Abel right now. Why is he even listening to her? Gia’s mother is a real piece of work. I hope Gia will stand up to her and tell her how she really feels. These two grew up in households where one was abusive the other neglected. I feel for both of them.

I really hope you give this book a chance I will recommend this book to anyone!! LOVED! Now you left me hanging *sighs. But I am looking forward to more of these two!

5.0 out of 5 stars I need a shot of Abel! 6 August 2014

Abel...Abel... Abel

He. Is. Mine!

What am I possibly going to do while waiting for Gina Whitney's Forgiving Gina? After the ending of Saving Abel everything is left up in the air.

Abel is a sexy, extremely tatted Dom rocker God. His past is a mystery, but if that even mattered when this man walked into a room. The fires he lit and then extinguished within minutes of reading the smokin' hot scenes. They left me looking for the air conditioner to stick my entire body over to cool off. He's just THAT HOT!

Gia has a plan in life or at least her mother, "Medusa" does. But, as Gia learns more about what makes Abel tick plans change. Feelings ignite. Suddenly love blooms and there is trouble in paradise.

Ex-Subs are suddenly showing up. Band members are getting in the way. Mothers and fathers get involved.

Things get messy...and not in a good way.

I loved reading this sexy story and cannot wait for Gina's next book in this series. I'm sure it will be just as hot as this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gunning for love.. 17 December 2014

Gina Whitney, having never read anything about the author I was left feeling I was shot in the dark. The range of emotion was like nothing I have ever read. I was completely enthralled and captivated with the storyline. Escaping your past for something amazingly powerful and beautiful..only to lose your heart. You can literally feel the authors words drawing you in. Gave the book 5 stars for opening my eyes to yet another world. Rock romance with almost seems unfathomable-sex,drugs and rock and roll. Abel Gunner, lead singer of lethal Abel(rock sex god with a VERY dominant streak). He lives hard and he lives the life of excess, until he meets the one woman who can and will bring him to his knees. Gia, sexy, smart and submissive-is hiding a secret one that has dire consequences. Keeping quiet is never the way to go, she has a lot to learn about submission(as in trust her Dom). As their volatile relationship continues, the voracious appetite for each other leaves them vulnerable, when the need to consume and be consumed, takes over all else it just leaves you gasping for air! And when someone lets out the proverbial genie out of the bottle..lives are shattered, can a relationship survive? Can wrongs be righted,if these two ever really loved each other, this would be the test or was it just mindless sex (meaningless). This isn't for the faint at heart, but the book was so well-written,the drama..the inner turmoil and sex(raw, rough and all consuming).Would definitely recommend this masterpiece to anyone looking for the other side of rock and roll! Bravo Gina!

3.0 out of 5 stars Beautifully addicted... 17 May 2015

I always finish a book. I can't help's an OCD thing. No matter how bad it is, I've gotta finish it. But I almost...ALMOST put this one down unfinished. At first... And don't get me wrong.. I love erotica - - but not scene after scene of senseless, salacious sex that takes precedence over the actual story. I know I know...the author has to lay a foundation of what the two main characters are like....but this became eye rolling, off the charts head shaking, ridiculous. It quickly loses it's appeal and becomes monotonous and almost humorous...(and this story is not a comedy). The first ¼th of the story is rather senseless. But I persevered and was eventually, rewarded... because the author apparently hit her stride and the plot actually began to develop into a good story....

Gia Mastro is a 24 yr. old secretary with a potty mouth and a mind constantly in the gutter of an erotic daydream; caused from an unloved childhood full of pain, ugliness and fear. She lives a life of secrets, concealed behind her mask of laughter and sarcasm. She suffered a childhood full of abuse that leads her to believe that a mans' money will give her what she, privilege, social standing and acceptance. Even though Gia is living on her own, she's still under the dominance and oppression of her mothers' abuse and evilness.

Abel Gunner (age anyone??) is the main star of a thriving rock band, "Lethal Abel". He's a forceful BDSM dominant in his private life who gets off on brutal, rough sex. Has to have it... He's a sexual deviant and doesn't care about peoples' opinions on the subject. He grew up a s a bratty, rich, spoiled kid in a loveless home. He was never nurtured; never felt the security of a parent. Through all his damage and brokenness, Abel is a beautifully complicated creature. He doesn't "do" relationships - - he doesn't do complications. But then he never planned for someone like Gia Mastro to begin to break down his walls...

This is a day by day journey into the courtship/relationship and healing changes of Abel and Gia. The frustrating downside (for me) was the misuse of words. Like fantasying (I think the author meant fantasizing)...or balled (she definitely meant "ballad" here as she was talking about music). How about "break" when it's supposed to be "brake" to relate to slowing down or stopping. Or dominate...when she clearly was calling Abel a "dominant". Theres much more but I've made my point. The proper usage of wording is important...especially when you're speeding along at 85 mph with your reading and come across a misspelled or wrongly used word that changes the whole sentence structure and meaning...and causes a person like me to fumble and stall and sit there contemplating what the author is trying to imply or say.

The other downside is character descriptions...I have no idea what Gia looks like ....finally found out she has brown eyes halfway into the book...and I'm assuming her hair is brown since she's Italian and 75% of Italians have brownish hair. And it must be long(ish) since it's grabbed and pulled...a Abel. And it's the same with Abel....the synopsis says he has emerald green eyes...but towards the end of this installment, his eyes are brown. I still don't know his hair color, but it must be "dark" since we're told that one of the band members (Woody) has blondish hair and he's odd man out. Secondary character descriptions were great and well detailed and came into the story right away. Main characters? Not there... And then the author puts "THE END" (instead of...say...."TO BE CONTINUED") the end of this first installment, leading us to believe there is nothing after this abrupt cliffhanger. Because I eventually grew to kinda semi-like these two main characters (and because this story ends with a cliffhanger)...and because I see that Abel is slowly healing and the author piqued my curiosity as to how their HEA will come about...and because this installment was a freebie...because of all that, I decided to purchase the second installment of this story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fecking hot, hot, HOT!! 21 September 2014

Ahh... what can I say, but holy Shiitake mushrooms, Batman! I loved this book. I loved it, hated it, then I loved it again... then I hated it again because of that "Good gravy, Marie" ending. Sheesh! But I find myself love LOVING the book overall and I cannot wait until the second one. **hint, hint, hint, Gina**

My review is really our review, me and the hubs. The hubby wants to wait until the whole story is finished, but I've got some stuff to say about how delicious the story was. No spoilers, I promise.

I've read most of the other reviews and as I don't want to repeat the blurb that tells you what the book is about, I'll just share, in as few short words as possible, what the story spoke to me.

Abel, rock star and Dom, and beautiful, yet secretive Gia, are people that have jagged edges and uneven surfaces, as most of us have, although maybe not in the same ways. In a much more complicated manner than I'll go into here, they found the balm to their souls in each other. We see both of them moving forward, growing into two people that are perfectly designed for one another. Yeah, the sex is off the chain hot, hot HOT! But, the beautiful thing is the way they fell so deeply in love with each other.

There's the vile and atrocious ex, Morgana... I seriously have a hate/hate relationship going on with that chick, wondering how loud she'd scream if I pushed her off a cliff. Then there's Gia's mother from hell, Medusa. There are no words that I can use without being censored to express my great and all-consuming hatred for her and my deep desire to see her burn in hell. Yeah, I love them that much! NOT! They're both pure, unadulterated evil to the point that even the devil himself hates them both and... well, you'll just have to read it yourself. But you're going to be praying a hell, fire and brimstone kind of Karma comes down on those two in the sequel. That's for sure!

**A teeny, tiny SPOILER** (Sorry, I couldn't help myself.)
The ending broke my heart, but I could see it coming. It wasn't a disappointed type of "oh, well, I guessed that ending, so why did I waste my time reading it" kind of ending. No, it drove me to the point of having this clawing hope that Gia would trust their love enough to confess all her sins and her mother issues/problems sooner. But she didn't. God. But then if she had, my heart wouldn't be bleeding right now with the "gimme, gimme, gimme, Gina" I've got screaming through my brain for the sequel. Gah!! **whispering** Seriously, chica, I need that next book. K? Thanks.

Now, stop reading and one click this baby. You will NOT regret it. I give it 5 "oh my freaking gawd, that was sooo hot" stars!!
