"A complete thrill ride ... it challenged everything I thought I knew. I'm utterly spellbound!" ★★★★★ Amazon Reviewer

THE TRUTH HURTS

My mother was right to fear me.
I’m an abomination.
And the world should be very afraid.

Sadie has been kidnapped by the Tor, the vindictive alien race who destroyed Thalassic City. As her past, present, and future collides, her worst nightmare looks set to become her shocking new reality.

A deliberate pawn in leader Griselda’s vengeful game, Sadie is horrified to learn the truth about her heritage and the destiny that’s already been mapped out for her. Refusing to cooperate, she risks paying the ultimate price for her defiance.

Love for Logan is her only motivation to stay alive. Saving him is the only thing that matters—the fate of the world depends upon it. While he may never forgive her, she’s determined to protect him. Until her dying breath.

Saven Denial is a wonderfully intense novella, gripping the reader with jam-packed with tension and jaw-dropping revelations. With each page rolling effortlessly onto the next, it easily meets and surpasses Siobhan Davis’ usual excellent writing standard. Whilst providing some answers to what we’ve all been wondering, this book will also leave many questions behind.
With quite a small range of characters featuring, only a few of whom are already known, the story benefits from focusing on a fresh new plotline – one that ties perfectly into the main world. The additional characters provide interesting personalities to both aid and manipulate Sadie, heightening the superb drama. We are fully introduced to Griselda (and her vindictive plans), Axton and more, who between them power the action and unravel the secrets within Saven Denial. Every character can be empathised with in some form or other and act understandably, making the whole story appear completely realistic.
The pacing– rapid whilst remaining comprehensive – is the ideal rhythm for such shocking admissions as these. The twists and turns are brilliant and unpredictable, in a plot that develops without being forced at all, evolving naturally. With the writing flowing so well, Saven Denial is a real page-turner for even the least avid reader. The ending, in particular, has a great build-up, and the mounted tension creates a yet another spectacular cliff-hanger for the Saven series.
All new ground is used to set the scene, with fabulous description that immerses the reader in the world until the lines between reality and fiction are wholly blurred. Alongside everything that happens, it feels as if you are there with the characters, feeling their emotions acutely.

This is the 3rd book in the series I have enjoyed. I hate that this book ends, and I have to wait, again, for the next book, to know what happens. I have time, I suppose to invent possible outcomes.
If you haven't read the first 2 books, I suggest you do, as although some of the details are explained, the previous events are referenced, without going into great details. For instance the start has a girl being kidnapped and hurtling through time and space, without reference to how and why, which was the last chapter of book 2.
This is a great science fiction story, and you need to read it as purely fiction, without wanting to break down the known science explanation of what occurs.
I have enjoyed this book immensely, and need to advise that I was given a copy of this book by the author, in exchange for an honest review.

After the big cliffhanger at the end of book 2, Saven: Disclosure, I had no clue what was going to happen. I only had one hunch, which did end up being true, but having much more complexity behind it and other things I definitely would never have predicted. There were definitely some very surprising twists and turns in this novella. This book is a nice, fast read- the pacing is great. It's really interesting to meet a lot of new characters in this book, in particular, one who I'm guessing will play a big part in the rest of the series. I am trying to review without giving away spoilers, but, I really loved this novella. I think the writing is some of the strongest I have seen yet from Siobhan Davis. Fans of the Saven series will not be disappointed. Be forewarned though, as a novella, it really doesn't end with a lot of closure, but the cliffhanger didn't feel quite as anguishing as the cliffhanger at the end of Saven: Disclosure.

I was given an ARC of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

I was provided an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this novella in the Saven series. I'm a big fan of futuristic novels and I enjoyed the science fiction/fantasy aspects that this particular author lends to her dystopian books. I find Sadie to be a character that the reader can connect with and relate to and that makes you more invested in the story and what happens to her. I was horrified by some of the things Sadie finds out about herself in this novella. It helps explain so much that was missing or confusing in the first to novels and I have to thank the author for including this novella into the series to help us fill the gaps. It was also very fascinating and engaging to see some other relationships Sadie had and how she seems to be the same passionate and loyal person no matter her circumstances. We do have another cliffhanger to keep us antsy until the next book releases, but as an avid reader, this is nothing new! I'm just that much more excited to read the next book when it comes out.

" I received this book free from the author to read and give an honest review in no way did this influence my review"

omg....... wow.......more..more.. more.. please......
I absolutely loved this story,it may have been short but it was a vital part of the series and it also answered so many questions and also left me with probably more questions than I started with thanx for that Siobhan and that annoying cliff hanger that's left me screaming inside I'm on my knees begging for book 3. I no by reading this book Siobhan was really worried about the time travel aspect in this book but I really think she has nothing to worry about it I think it worked well like all Siobhans story's it drew me in and I could not put it down. Every book I've read of Siobhans has been amazing and deserves 5 stars if not more and this is no exception. Well done for another amazing book and also another amazing love triangle were can this story go next I'm so excited.
