Tragedy and betrayal sent her running...
And now she's starting over far away from the person she used to be.

Lyric Hayes tried to be the perfect daughter and the perfect girlfriend, but those days are over. She's ready to begin again with a vow to herself: no relationships, no complications, and no turning back.

Easier said than done...

Confident, successful, and charming David Pearson makes her vow nearly impossible. He has it all, and David knows better than anyone not to judge someone by what's on the surface. Wanting to own her heart, he'll do anything to gain her trust and save her from herself. But David's family could have secrets and baggage of their own, which could send Lyric packing and on the run once again. Is his past just another version of a song Lyric has heard before?

Lyric escapes from her ex & family to Nashville & finds David. Although older the chemistry is there. A few things left unsaid leads to drama but generally David's the good guy. SaraBeth & Jeremy complicate things too. A good read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Its Time For A Gamechanger in the Book Boyfriend World! Meet David!!! 15 January 2014

Who said nice guys finish last? Well, whoever they were..they were idiots. From the start, you meet Lyric, a woman who has never fully embraced how amazing she is, I find that completely identifiable. She has been brow beaten into accepting less than she deserves. Her last relationship brutalized her, it left something broken that I would have believed could not be fixed. Well, I was wrong. Enter stage left, David. Oh man. This delicious man is exactly what Lyric needs to heal those wounds. David has his life together and his priorities together, now all he has to do is get Lyric together. Can he save her from herself? Well after reading this book, if he can't save her, I am quite a detriment to myself, he is more than welcome to save me. ;) Excellent debut novel, Mosteller! I am ready for more!

3.0 out of 5 stars Hated the ending....... 30 March 2015

What a sweet story, David and Lyric had such sweet chemistry. The heartbreak that Lyric suffered and the way David dropped everything for his sister, the humor between all the characters was excellent. The story was sort of predictable but I really didn't see that little twist coming. Read this in one afternoon. Would have loved to rate this book higher but the book just ended. I was thinking "That's it?" The story just stopped with no real conclusion, yes it has a HEA if that's what you call it. Maybe there's going to be a 2nd book picking up where this left off but there wasn't a cliffhanger. You're left wondering what happened after....
4.0 out of 5 stars Hot, fun and easy to read 18 June 2016

Lyric moves to Nashville to get a new start, she meets David and the there is sparkling between them. They both have baggage and don't like to talk about it.
I'm frustrated in the beginning because Lyric don't have a good reason to not be honest with David and that makes me dislike the book a little.
The writing style is a joy, easy and playful. And the sex scenes are hot, specially the two scenes in David's office.
The story is good and the characters are described in a way that makes it easy for me to make an image of them in my head. At lest the main characters I feel like I get to know, but the others are a little distant. That's what's making this a strong 4 star read.
4.0 out of 5 stars If you love easy, fun, rebuilding romance books, you definitely need to read this. 22 January 2015

Really loved Lyric’s story. Save Me From Myself was full of heartbreak, self-worth, determination, finding yourself and how to let go without being completely broken.
Lyric is such a strong, but yet insecure woman. She has been through so much in just a short amount of time, but she left her past behind to rebuild who she is.
David is a complete true man. He knows just what needs to be done to get the job done. He doesn’t let love blind him, and is completely the perfect guy. I loved his demeanor. He didn’t go looking for love, but love walked into his life; as goes for Lyric.
If you love easy, fun, rebuilding romance books, you definitely need to find this. I had no clue the ending would come out the way it did, it was really worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars so damn good!!! 6 February 2014
By J MOM - Published on Amazon.com

I loved this book so much! Stacey brings such life to her characters that you instantly fall in love with them!
David, the darlin' specialist, is my favorite! He is handsome, witty, sincere, so kind, and sexy as hell! After the loss of their parents, David is determined to give up his life in North Carolina to move back to Nashville and give his 16 year old sister, sarabeth, the best life he can.
Lyric is gorgeous, sweet, loyal, and a woman scorned! She flees Manhattan after discovering her fiancé has been unfaithful after the most horrific event in her life consumes her. She goes to Nashville where her best friend, Anna, invites her to move in with her.
Sparks start to fly when David and Lyric meet. A precarious situation arises when Lyric discovers Sarabeth in a predicament. She wants to tell David what she saw, but Sarabeth threatens her with blackmail, until David catches her on his own. When he discovers Lyric knew, everyone's relationships hang in the balance.

This is a fantastic story, with loveable characters who pull on your heart strings, and beg you to cheer them on!
