At the top of the list i would have to put Exin Ex Machina (G. S. Jennsen) cyberpunk meets scifi meets political thriller. I want to read more of this series.
Another i would consider continuing with is the interesting The Concordia Deception (J. J. Green) as well as The Legacy Human (Susan Kaye Quinn) which was equally fascinating and a genuinely original story.
There is humour (Starship Waking (C. Gockel), Bypass Gemini (Joseph Lallo)) and a book VERY HEAVILY 'inspired' by the TV show 'Firefly': Star Nomad (Lindsay Buroker).
Of the books there was only one i gave up on: Crystalline Space (A. K. DuBoff). To me this read like Teenage D&D fan fiction set in space. I got a couple of chapters in before i could no longer persevere.
With the one exception the characters were well written. Some of them, 6T9 & Volka were memorable.
I got this for Free (thanks Prime) but time is money and my time was very well spent on this anthology.
