I have conflicted feelings about "Savage Grace"--I wondered how much was Andrew Harvey's world view and how much was that of co-author, Carolyn Baker. I would like to have the two voices with their own words (for balance and also the male and female sensibilities uniquely represented.
An ongoing Kali Yuga---or a new age? Hard to tell..I felt the doomsday tone of the book and the author's seeming belief that that's the only conclusion we can arrive at. I don't know.....I wanted something more...maybe I am full up on analysis of Trump and all the problems past solutions. So if you want more analysis then this will interest you. The spiritual did not even ring with a new tone to me...just what I have thought and read.
I think there is more and I am only interested in reading what I can see is other humans "grappling" with another dimension or even "galactic" perspective. I would also like to have heard the authors look at the mutant male that has been dominant for centuries and just when I think he may be dying out in favor of a more hu-luminous part of humanity, he comes back with a vengeance...Why don't men take this on in some substantive way and stop just writing and philosophizing on these rapid fire events that some now call the "swamp"--didn't we crawl out of that millions of years ago and now......here we are in another repeat reality....My human self wanted to feel nourished by this book or dimensionally "opened" . Alas, I felt none of this....same ole same ole,really......sorry to those who found it an intellectual leap...it is not (for me). Better to have published this book and when the reader opens it....there are 145 + blank pages and on the last page....a simple statement: "we just don't know and we will not try to give you more information or analysis...it is irrelevant."
