These are very comfortable shoes. I am a big guy (300lbs) with plantar fasciitis and I'm on my feet all day making deliveries. Every shoe that I've tried, and there have been many, I've had to add some type extra cushioning or hard plastic insert or both just to make the pain manageable. I haven't added anything to these shoes and my feet feel much better. I have ordered two more pair and I will only wear this line of shoes from now on.

Shoes Already Falling Apart After Just 20 Miles Of Hiking

The shoes fits ok. It does run slightly large. But after just 20 miles of hiking, the toe cover is already peeling back.

I have used Saucony shoes for many years and this has never happened before.

A few more miles and I am sure they will completely fall apart.

I am very disappointed in these shoes. I expected much better quality from Saucony.

As a follow up to my initial post, I had two horrible wipe outs with these shoes. I have hiked hundreds of miles without an accident before I started wearing these shoes. I think the sole is too rigid and becomes very slick when wet.

I have since thrown these shoes away.

These are nice shoes for walking or people that spend the day on their feet. For running, which I rarely do because of foot problems, these aren't nearly as supportive as Saucony's more expensive running shoes. Saucony is my favorite brand and these are good, well made shoes, just wouldn't be my first choice for running. I own the following Saucony shoes and would highly recommend for runners who need motion control and good arch support: Hurricane 16, Stabil C3 and Guide 9. I don't recall any of them coming in black, plus they cost more than I needed to pay for casual wear. I usually order all my Saucony's one half larger size than my other shoes and they fit perfect.

I run in Saucony Rides and these feel the same but with a trail tread. Very nice.

EDIT: I am STILL using this same pair. That includes training for and completing a Ragnar trail race late in 2017. Amazing longevity, even on the hard rock hiking here in AZ.

EDIT 2: It is now April 29, 2018 (almost exactly a year since my review) and I am STILL using his shoe. Yes, it LOOKS like it has been used a year on dusty trails, but it has held up GREAT. Even the tread is still grippy... GREAT shoe!

I was a little skeptical when I first bought these because I thought the material felt cheaper compared to older models, but it is not. It is actually just a bit lighter with same quality you'd expect from Saucony. They are not water proof as some people have mentioned, so don't expect to trudge through pools unaffected. These are a very comfortable shoe, though I will need different insoles in the future. I've had these for about 4months now.
