It's a nice stand. I wish it was a little bit taller for the larger headphones but it does what's advertised. I leave my Audio-Technica headphones on it with a short 1ft micro-usb cable from the hub to my headphones to charge. Another short cable goes from the hub to my phone which sits nicely on the base of the stand. Doing this looks nice and neat with short cables, but longer cables will look messy.
I wanted a stand to sit next to my sons bed to house his headphones and be able to charge phone ps4 controller etc: but this needs to be connected to a computer for the 3 usbs to work.

My over the ear headphones normally lay wherever I put them. Since I use them every day it’s a bit of a chore to pack them away in a case. Normally they just lie on my desk until I use them again and invariably get in the way. The headphone stand is great because you elevate your headphones out of the way and when you want to house them, you simply pick it off the stand and take it away. The rubberised grip at the top protected your headphones from being scuffed.
There is a cable tidy in the back which I don’t actually use for my headphones. Since I use my cans every day its seems a bit pointless to wrap and unwrap the cord every day. I do however use the cord tidy to hang USB cables from instead of leaving them hooked into the base of the unit. This way it’s easily accessible whenever I want to charge a device.
You plug the USB port into your PC or directly into the mains (no plug is provided so you will have to purchase your own) and you’re ready to go. You can charge up to 3 USB devices from the stand and if you connect via your PC, any device you charge will be able to be seen on your PC.
Easy to put together, one piece slots into the other. It looks great and is well constructed. A clever way to combine a USB hub with a elegant solution to storing your headphones.
The product was purchased with a coupon and this is my own impartial and honest review based on my own personal experience using this product.
It's pretty nicely constructed with a nice finish and reassuring weight. It didn't seem to have any problems with powering an external hard drive as many hubs often do
The audio out works pretty great, although if you're using a macbook pro 2016 and are picky about sound you'll find yourself using the headphone jack on the computer probably - it just sounds better and fuller, but i noticed when i upgraded that the headphone out seemed to gain quite a bit of low end on the new models, so if you've got anything else it will likely sound pretty similar, so i don't want to be down on it too much
I was also able to plug my existing desktop speakers directly into the Headphone stand unit via the audio jack port and it drove the sound from my PC. So, to be clear, the speakers were originally connected to my headphone jack at the back of my desktop. Now they connect via the headphone stand. The headphone jack on my desktop machine is now redundant.
This makes it really easy to swap out my speakers and just plug in my headphones when I need to. Sweet.
Maybe you can't tell from the photos, but there are nice hooks behind the stand to allow you to wrap your headphone cables out of the way and out of sight.
I went for the gold unit. Looks great and expensive. Highly Recommended.
I plugged and unplugged the usb connection which temporarily fixed the issue but it started again after a minute.
Plugging in the headphones to another connection on my pc fixed the issue.
Everything else has worked ok, I can charge off of the other usb connections ect.
I can't rule out a faulty usb lead or connection totally but I'm fairly sure its this stand that is at fault. (I'll update if it turns out to be something else).
The Headphone band pad is pathetic, should be 2 x the thickness and why oh why is it black? spoils the look, as does...
The Cable hook, again why black? Should be aluminium
Screw heads....arrrgh, visible ugly hex screw heads, why oh why?
Pairs very well with the aesthetic of MacBooks, but still looks nice on its own.
The headset stand's USB pass-through can also pass through audio, I can confirm.
I'm fine with SATECHI putting a £40 price tag on this because it deserves to be £40.
Made of decent quality brushed aluminium
Clean and elegant design, looks great on the table
Has USB 3.0 extension ports
Has cable management hooks at the back
Nice blue LED indicator for power
Your friends will ask where you bought it
Neck unattachable once assembled, unable to fit into box for returns (it might be though, just not stated in the manual)
Unable to charge any Apple devices when connected to wall socket, but works when connected to PC/Mac
I was looking for something to tidy up the mess of cables on my desk and this does it in style - it's a quality product made from machined aluminium that goes together in two seconds.
Not much more to say other than there are cheap looking headphone stands for sale that don't look this good and aren't as useful either!
- My ATH-M50's stay perfectly on the stand and the headphone cable can be wrapped around the back to keep your desk clean.
- USB ports work great.
- Headphone jack is very useful if you don't have one on the front of your PC or if it's too far. Or even if you have a faulty jack on your laptop like me.
Solved most of my problems in one device which is priced very well.
I got a replacement unit because of a slight problem after contacting customer service without having to send mine back! This was gladly appreciated and I cannot recommend this product and company enough.
Arrives in premium packaging that ensures the stand isn't damaged in any way.
Straight out of the box it is in 2 pieces, the base and the headphone arm. Snaps together in seconds and your ready to go.
The headphone stand itself is a very nice 'champagne gold' and very sturdy. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was unfortunately you cannot charge your devices through the USB ports, they can only be used as access ports for USB drives.
Great product overall and highly recommend for anyone wanting a great stand upon which to place their headphones.
The quality of the headphone port is alright but if you do want a extra kick to the bass and quality I would recommend downloading razer synapse. This comes with razer surround and best thing is. It's free unless you pay for pro!
