SANTA FE FORTUNE
North Carolina artist Gwendolyn Marsh is on a New Mexico mission. She's got ten days to raise twenty thousand dollars in cash. In financial straits herself and hoping to help her sister, Gwen's determined to bring monetary relief fast. What Gwen doesn't bank on is getting the utterly handsome and irresistible Dan Holbrook in the bargain. Still recovering from a failed first marriage, Gwen's not sure she'll ever love again. Can a midnight ride in the desert convince her to change her mind?

Billionaire bachelor Dan Holbrook is an outdoorsy man who knows how to behave in polite company. So when his sister Nancy asks him to run her Santa Fe gallery while she's away, Dan thinks he'll have no trouble manning the store. That is, until Ms. Gwendolyn Marsh blows into town like a wild, west wind, upending his world with her womanly ways. Dan's heart hasn't healed from its last disaster. Can he risk opening himself up to hurt a second time?

HOW TO MARRY A MATADOR
New York telecommunications expert Jessica Bloom has never quite gotten things right. She's failed at relationships, and only believes herself to have moved ahead at work due to dumb luck. Her fortunes change when she flies to Madrid on an acquisitions deal -- but wakes up married to a matador instead! While she's held a burning attraction to her handsome business adversary for months, she never dreamed she'd make such an enormous split-second decision. Surely, this is a mistake they can both get undone? Her new husband, however, has plans to the contrary...

Fernando Garcia de la Vega runs a telecommunications firm poised for a US takeover. What Fernando doesn't expect, is its beautiful International Division head also capturing his heart. Descended from a long line of bullfighters, Fernando stands to inherit the family's lucrative estate, if he meets the criteria in his grandfather's will and marries by age thirty-two. Yet, a marriage of convenience was something Fernando was loathe to consider... until now. When the fates conspire to put the right woman in the right place -- at the right time, how can Fernando deny his destiny? His only problem lies in convincing Jessica to remain his bride.

5.0 out of 5 stars He's a matador! 22 February 2013

Santa Fe Fortune -- I enjoyed reading this story. I like the descriptions of places in Santa Fe like the miracle bridge, the ranch, etc.

I loved Dan and Gwen -- they're people I'd like to meet. The story was fast-paced. My favorite scene was when Gwen puts too much salsa on her food. It reminds me of a scene in my e-book, "Mr. Short, Dark...& Funny". My hero finds out that the heroine's father made chocolate chip cookies and put too much hot sauce in them. He eats them anyway, thinking they can't be that bad and... well, he thought wrong. LOL.

I found one cliche "after what seemed like an eternity." One of my English teachers back in the day found that expression in one of my stories and told me to take it out. Also, there was a line about Dan being surprised that a 23-year-old would have so much energy. I think most 20-somethings would have a lot of energy, as opposed to someone who's my age (fifty-something).

This is a great story.

How to Marry a Matador -- I have to admit, I bought this combo based on that title. I am a huge "Seinfeld" fan and it made me think "Shadow of a Bull" [book I read as a kid) meets "Seinfeld." Right away, I thought of the old "Seinfeld" episode when Elaine lies to a couple and tells them she had a relationship with a matador named Eduardo Carrocio.

I loved Fernando and Jess, as well as the secondary, Evie. I also liked Fernando's mother. This is a beautiful story with lovely descriptions that helped me escape to another country. I hope Evie has a story of her own in the future.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet love story 21 March 2013

Santa Fe Fortune is a fairly quick read and satisfying enough,Dan and Gwen are lovely people who fall for each other pretty quickly. The story flows easily, though the plot is somewhat predictable, but It was a fun read.

How to Marry a Matador the second book in Girls on the go serie was just as cute and funny.New York telecommunications expert Jessica Bloom flies to Madrid on an acquisitions deal ,but wakes up married to a matador instead,Fernando Garcia de la Vega who runs a telecommunications firm poised for a US takeover. That part of the plot gets lost, and one never really finds out what happens to the company being taken over. Fernando stands to inherit the family's lucrative estate, but only if he marries by age thirty-two.I just loved the characters of this book and I hope I can have a chance to read about Evie and Gustavo.

I enjoyed this double feature. Very romantic and great to get two stories at one time. Loved it. All books I've read by the author have been fantastic.
