Any SanDisk Flash Drive gets the job done! If it within parameters ovcurse; don’t forget that 20% or whatever that isn’t Free Space.
They allways hav some level ov inbuilt locking/Security Wall which isthere to utilise if tr carrying ‘trade secrets’ (🤫 any dealing with Fracking Companies ‘propriety formulas’ ov Poison used; pls Expose for ALL’s benefit eh?)
Otherwise; was 🤯 firstime seeing the 254GB one (124? whatever Ratio Increase).
I generally prefer as ‘Larger Flash Drives’ - because Formatting& trustful Copy/Move reliable. Just ‘brand preference’; Loyalty has price&lifespan included; SanDisk gettin there

Good while it worked but failed fast

SanDisk 32GB Ultra USB 3.0 bought from Amazon AU - I barely used this for 1 year and while it worked, it worked without a hitch. Then out of the blue, it wouldn't let me write any more: it was write protected. Read online that this is a feature of these drives where if the firmware detects an error condition, it would permanently lock itself in order to prevent data loss. At least Amazon were gracious enough to issue me a refund without having to return the drive containing sensitive data.

I purchased 3 of these SanDish flash drives, after I'd read glowing reviews of them on IT review websites.
I purchased two 32GB flash drives, and one 64GB flash drive.

The 64GB seems to work fine (although I haven't used it much yet).

The 32GBs is a different story. One sort of works, but sometimes "faint" from view in the computer, so it has to be taken out, then put back in again in order for the computer to read it. The other one was invisible to the computer from the start, so it is useless.

I asked for a return for the unreadable one, and Amazon granted it immediately with no hesitation, which is great. I received the replacement quickly. It seemed to work fine, so I used it as intended: I moved a bunch of stuff to it so I could free up space on my hard drive. It took up about half the space on the flash drive. When I removed it from the USB port, I noticed that it felt very hot.

Next time I inserted it, the computer could not read it. This meant I did not have access to the data I'd saved on it, and it was very stressful, since I'd deleted the data from my hard drive to save space (that was the point of buying them). Now I've again managed to get access to the flash drive and the data, but I no longer trust the flash drive, or any of the SanDisk flash drives, since they're so fickle.

Flash drives are supposed to keep data safe and provide reliable access to it. If they can't be trusted to do that, then they are useless. If the data was not important, then there'd be no reason to save it on a flash drive in the first place.

I am very disappointed, I thought SanDisk flash drives were great quality. In fact I didn't imagine that any flash drives at all would be faulty like this, even cheap ones. I thought quality was just about speed, not about whether they can do their core job.

The three flash drives have been reliable but I am astonished by how slow the write performance is. I've tested them in a number of computers and they're painfully slow. Not what I was expecting from this brand. They also heat up significantly under prolonged write operations.

I bought 2 of these, one 64GB and one 32GB, but it seems there are serious issues in quality control from the dispatcher, as the 32GB version I was delivered was clearly different from the 64GB and from the advertised images. The same version this reviewer received: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/customer-reviews/R208HUJ91I3UKP/ , it had bent up metal over the connector, other connector differences and no flashing blue light during operation. It was also lighter, and the connector was looser in the casing. It seemed to perform just like a normal drive, but when I realised the flashing blue light was missing that's when I decided to return it, as I shouldn't be receiving an item not conforming to the product specification and advertisements. I won't be buying another SanDisk Ultra after this, but sadly there aren't many good alternatives for USB 3.0 flash drives. Might have to go with the SanDisk Flair.

USB-Stick sehr kurzlebig

Ich habe mich aus unterschiedlichen Gründen für diesen USB-Stick entschieden, trotz dem Lesen aktuellerer Rezensionen.
Leseleistung auf den ersten Blick zufriedenstellend, Schreibleistung allerdings unterdurchschnittlich - im Realbetrieb aber nur etwa 12MB/s.

Das erste Gerät, das ich erhalten habe, war leider "Dead-On-Arrival" - Amazon hat hierbei aber vorbildlich für Ersatz gesorgt!
Das Problem äußerte sich darin, dass der Speicher des USB-Sticks in den "Read-Only" Modus gewechselt ist, wie es Flashspeicher gewöhnlich zum Ende der Lebenszeit tut.
Nun nach nur einem halben Jahr Nutzung, mit weniger als einer wöchentlichen Rotation des Speicher (denke <600GB Gesamtschreibleistung), hat sich auch der neue SanDisk Ultra 32GB mit dem selben Fehlerbild verabschiedet...
Ich persönlich empfehle diesen Stick also eher nicht und werde selbst in Zukunft zu einem anderen Modell greifen (müssen).

Tengo 5 modelos iguales y este es falsisimo. tanto fisicamente como en velocidad es emucho peor. No lo compreis pues es un modelo falso.
Velocidad del original 60 - 70MB/s estables
Velocidad de este 25MB/s si tienes suerte de picos y bajadas a 2-3MB/s

Es más falso que un billete de 15 euros. En la foto lo podéis ver comparado con uno igual comprado en Carrefour. El de la izquierda es el de Amazon, como verán la boca del puerto USB es totalmente diferente. Diría que es un usb 2.0 pintado en azul para dar el pego. La velocidad de lectura no se acerca a 100 MB/s ni de lejos, no pasa de 20. En el otro comprado en tienda me llega fácilmente a 80.

Como verán es una buena estafa, procedo a devolverlo. Eso sí, el embalaje y tal muy currado, sí, señor. Nadie diría que es un producto falso.

Be very careful with the Sandisk Secure Access encryption software. Have had two of these drives and both have failed and I have lost all of the data because I can't access the encrypted section of the drive. I updated the software (to 3.1) on the drive and then it would not recognise my password. Only ever use the same password for my USB drives. Really, really angry as lost some really important documentation.
