"I blew my way through Sanctuary's Warlord (The Sanctuary's Series Book #1) in one sitting, because it was impossible to put down. Such strong storytelling and character development. Character thoughts and dialogue were so poor I cringed. It's basically a very tame omegaverse story, without the terms omega and alpha. Nothing but scenes that drag on for dozens of pages. Like one scene of her climbing down a building went in for several pages! The repetition was extremely irritating and ment I didn't finish it. Just too dull. So I can't even give it a couple of stars. Didn't peak let alone hold my interest. Gave up before 50%.
I like diogo and all "his faults" you still see he's not a complete barbarian and has limits and logic guiding him (most of the time 😉).
Excited to see what happens next 😍
This story, Sanctuary’s Warlord, is so good. It’s unique, well written and the characters are engaging. I care about them now and want them to succeed. I won’t go into plot (read the blurb), but I will tell you I loved every minute of this read.
It’s a dystopian world, a hard world surviving through harsh decisions. The Warlord, Diogo Fuentes, not who we thought he was; Taran, the Desert Wren, much more than we originally perceived. It ends on a cliffie, and, wow, what a cliffie it is. This is story telling at its finest. Highly recommended.
