About the Author
Serena Clarke writes feel-good contemporary fiction, set all over the world. Readers have described her books as engaging page-turners, with sigh-worthy happy endings that'll leave you smiling. Her own story? She's lived in thirty-nine houses, in seven cities, in four countries. She's been a riding instructor, edited a medical journal, worked at a London law firm, and taught English as a second language to wayward teenagers. And now she's found her own happy ending-living near the beach in beautiful New Zealand with her family, writing the kind of romantic, feel-good books she loves to read. She hopes you'll love them too! Find her online at www.serenaclarke.com.

The most gripping book I've read for some time, great difficulty putting down, luckily I had 2 days free to totally indulge, in a good hearty romance, full of mystery, suspense and few good suprises.
Blonde Girl Reads
A page-turner with heart
2 January 2015 - Published on Amazon.com
The Same But Different is a beautifully written tale of two sisters on a journey of self discovery following the death of their mother, who shares a shocking deathbed secret with the heroine, Cady. The subject matter is sensitively handled, the storyline fast-paced and engaging, and the heroine utter relatable. Although it centers on two British sisters, it's set in California in beautiful San Francisco, among other locations, and the author really brings the city to life. A must read for fans of gentle, engaging romance - a real page-turner with heart and soul. I'm now on to her second novel!
Not what I expected at all

I got totally caught up in this book. I expected something light and got pulled in much deeper. Really, really enjoyed it. The flashmob set-up was an unusual way to get two English girls to California, but it was the later stages of the book where the family issues and the romance took over that I really got sucked in. Reid was a lovely hero, and I just HAD to keep reading until far too late at night to see if he and Cady got together.
A very enjoyable story

It starts after the twin sister's mother dies. They are left a sizeable inheritance. the mother had told the daughter who was her care giver to go have fun. The daughter had been following a flash mob group and wanted to go meet them in Frisco. It was a good read with lots of twists. I could not stand to put it down. A very compelling tale of two sisters and their ups and downs. And it had a good ending.

Oh i was so excited to see Serena Clarke's new book was out and yes, I just LOVED LOVED LOVED it as much, if not more than her last one! "The Same but Different" is fast-paced, cool and pretty darn romantic in a sexy kind of way ; ). I am totally mad for Reid, Cady's brooding love interest (sigh) but more importantly i just couldnt put the jolly thing down...what would happen next?!, would there be a happy ending???? You have to buy this book, even if its just to read the scene on the beach (sigh again). Clarke is a great story-teller and her characters are so vivid and believable and the story flows so easily a real pleasure to read. An easy 5 stars - can't wait for the next one.... : ). Oh and check out the lush cover!
