'A seamless read. The prose is well crafted, the pacing is spot on and Christine calibrates the romance and suspense plots so that neither overshadows the other.' - Book Thingo Blog

As Luke and his two assistants investigated, digging deeply to find the origin of the photos which Allegra had been promised were destroyed, sinister secrets started appearing. But with Luke as her bodyguard, she also discovered the handsome ex-SAS Commander was creating havoc with her senses. Trying to keep her mind busy by working long hours, she found keeping her sanity was proving much harder in more ways than one.
But suddenly the danger was right on top of them! It didn't seem to matter where she went, she couldn't escape - would her life ever be the same again? Could Luke discover who was trying to ruin Allegra's career? Or was there more to it? What were the motives for this sinister and evil plot?
What a brilliant, gripping and intense novel! I loved it! Romantic suspense at its best in my opinion. Lee Christine is an Australian author, and this is her debut novel. I certainly will be watching out for more from this talented lady. The cover picture doesn't do justice to the contents, and created a wrong impression about the book to me. I'm so glad a couple of friends told me it was excellent - they weren't wrong! Highly recommended.

This was a classical suspense romance regarding plot and structure. The mix between romance and suspense was well balanced, the plot well elaborated, without leaving any loose ends. The artfully injected different potential villains kept the plot riveting and the reader was involved in the process of finding out who the real culprit was.
The background information on the main characters was sufficient and nicely integrated into the plot. I liked the fact that the Hero and heroine were around their 30ties and acted accordingly. Their banters were funny and had me more than once smiling.
This read was very enjoyable. The writing style was refreshing and combined with the sound plot this is a very recommendable read.

Add to that the fact that it keeps you intrigued to know who the bad guy is; we don't get any hint until the end of the book!
What fascinated me the most was that all the story action is developed in a time frame of just one week.
""Your week from hell just got worse", he rasped, almost wrenching her arm from its socket."
And then there is the romantic story between Allegra and Luke:
"Allegra Greenwood was one feisty woman, and he was going to need balls the size of melons to deal with her."
"Yes, Luke Neilson was like dessert to someone on a calorie-controlled diet."
And yet, they don't complicate the things beyond the fact that they are both afraid of getting attached and care for someone and losing it later just like they did in their past lives.
