SUBMITTING TO THE MARQUESS: A Wickedly Hot Regency Novella (Chateau Debauchery Series Book 4) Kindle Edition
The Marquess of Alastair is trying to be a gentleman for a change, but this Regency miss won't take 'no' for an answer!
Mildred Abbott is a proper Regency miss, but she cannot deny the dark desires that torment her body in the quiet of night. Engaged to an uninspiring sycophant, she asks the influential nephew of her patroness in debauchery to interfere and break her engagement. When her appeals to him fail, she decides to take a singular opportunity—a visit to the Château Debauchery—to indulge her most wanton cravings before she submits herself to a life of wedded dullness.
The Marquess of Alastair concerns himself with no one, but to appease his aunt on her birthday, he agrees to select one person whose interests he will look after. It was not his intention to choose the plain and simple Miss Abbott, but when she unexpectedly shows up at the Château Debauchery, his hand is forced. Knowing his aunt to be partial to the miss, he grudgingly decides to act the part of a gentleman and preserve Miss Abbott's honor by removing her from the Château.
But Mildred refuses to go until she has had her night of wicked debauchery.

Mildred Abbott is a woman with a secret, she is not quite the quiet and innocent retiring individual that she portrays, she has a yearning that up until now she had not been able to divulge, that was until she was caught by Lady Katherine her Aunt, in a compromising position bent over a table in the greenhouse with the groom paddling her rear.
This was when Milly discovered that her yearnings were not in any way debauched, that she was entitled to yearn for the dominance of a man, that her Aunt had also felt these needs and had been fortunate to meet her Dear Husband Richard at the Chateau Follet whilst enjoying all things carnal.
Katherine is as devious in mind as a woman half her age, she arranges for Milly to travel with her to Bath, unbeknown to her she has arranged with her friend of many years, and Chateau owner Madame Follet one night where Milly will stay in one of the decadent rooms and experience all that there is on offer..............................
Millie sees this as her last chance to fulfil a deep yearning before her unavoidable betrothal to a peacock of a man “ Haversham” becomes marriage, just the thought leaves he cold. She is determined to spend this one night of freedom in the arms of a man that will show her pleasures she has only imagined. “She also had a few tricks up her sheeve”.
Then in the midst of the dinner conversation a man arrives late, he seem familiar?........
It cannot be, it’s her cousin Andre and it’s more than apparent that he is not a stranger to the Chateau, finally the little pieces of the puzzle start to fall into place, had Katherine also introduced Andre to the Chateau and Madame Follett, after all he made no secret of the fact that he was a man of the world, enjoying all that it had to offer...........................
When he realises that one of the female patrons is no other than his cousin Milly, he suddenly feels that he has to remove her from the Chateau, she is having none of it and makes in quite apparent that she is going nowhere!!
As tension and passion run high Andre realises that there is far more to his cousin than he ever could have envisioned and he has a desire to know her better..........................
This was a fantastic read the chemistry between the characters was electric, sexually enticing and once started it was impossible to put down. I just had to find out what would transpire between Milly and Andre and if he would step in and prevent the marriage to the totally unsuitable “Haversham”.
There is some rather unerotic sex and a strange mix of modern idiom and attempts at historical accuracy in both language and style which doesn't quite gel.
I felt there was a total lack of chemistry between them, and no emotional depth to the story.
Having said that if you don't mind historical inaccuracy and read this more for its erotica it might well be more you than me. As I say not awful but not good.
This book was on offer either free or 99p and it took about an hour to read, so whilst enjoyable you don't get your money's worth.
This was well written, the story is intriguing, I just wish it had been one book and not two, because as much as I enjoyed the story, I feel the ending was rather abrupt and anti climatic
I loved Alistair his attitude is he did not really care of get involved in other people or their problems. Then along comes Mildred his cousin who asks for his help. This is where I fell in love with him, you totally see a different side to him. half way through this I actually purchased we one booK
