A galaxy-spanning adventure awaits in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a new 3rd person action-adventure title from Respawn Entertainment. This narratively-driven single player game puts you in the role of a Jedi Padawan who narrowly escaped the purge of Order 66 following the events of Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. On a quest to rebuild the Jedi Order, you must pick up the pieces of your shattered past to complete your training, develop new powerful Force abilities, and master the art of the iconic lightsaber - all while staying one step ahead of the Empire and its deadly Inquisitors. While mastering your abilities, players will engage in cinematically-charged lightsaber and Force combat designed to deliver the kind of intense Star Wars lightsaber battles as seen in the films. Players will need to approach enemies strategically, sizing up strengths and weaknesses while cleverly utilizing your Jedi training to overcome your opponents and solve the mysteries that lay in your path. Star Wars fans will recognize iconic locations, weapons, gear, and enemies while also meeting a roster of fresh characters, locations, creatures, droids and adversaries new to Star Wars. As part of this authentic Star Wars story, fans will delve into a galaxy recently seized by the Empire. As a Jedi hero-turned-fugitive, players will need to fight for survival while exploring the mysteries of a long-extinct civilization all in an effort to rebuild the remnants of the Jedi Order as the Empire seeks to erase the Jedi completely.

This is definitely my game of the year! Having said that I've only really played 2, possibly 3 this year (kids really dig into your gaming time), but this one has definitely taken the majority of my attention. A tip - when you finish it, the "Journey+" option to start again with all your loot is really only just that. You start from scratch in terms of powers. Fortunately, you can do back and continue from where you "beat" the last boss (there be no spoilers here), and go searching for all the boxes and secrets you missed.
(Played on Xbox One X) There's definitely a bit of clunkiness to the game overall but it's also a great little adventure within the Star Wars universe. The combat is my main gripe with the game. It is clearly channeling "Soulsborne" style games, but lacking the finesse those games have built up over the years. When it's working, the lightsaber can feel amazing to wield, but then often enemies can suddenly snap out of a stagger and hit you with a cheap blow.
In the end though, the good outweighs the bad. I think its absolutely worth a play. Especially for fans of Star Wars.
Amazing game with spectacular visuals and challenging gameplay the only reason I didn’t vote it 5 stars was because there was no real cosmetic side of things and the game basically becomes pointless once you finish the story.
Such a short game, takes a few days to beat. Far too simplistic, too many gimmicks. Compared to a game like Assassin’s Creed, Witcher, or Fallout, this game pales in comparison.
Best Star Wars game since the original Force Unleashed. Meshes gameplay from Dark Souls, Metroid and Mass Effect. It's challenging but once you get the parry down pat and unlock your abilities you feel like a real Jedi.
