Extremely Difficult to Get On

Now that I have the shoes, I'm confused by all the glowing reviews, which is the main reason I ordered them. I ordered my usual size 7.5 in TAN. The fit seems accurate for me, and I have slightly narrower feet and longer toes. These shoes hardly seem oversized as others have mentioned. I'm wondering if there are different "batches" made during different times which were cut differently?? As others have noted about the TAN color, the entire shoe is the same tan mesh material - no different leather/metallic side panel as depicted in one of the photos of the shoe in that color. The straps are similar to seat belt material, so that part does have a slight sheen to it. My biggest disappointment however, is that the neck of the shoes I received are too small and too tight to slip my feet into! I have narrow feet, and skinny ankles, so was really surprised. I am truly baffled how everyone else is able to get these on. I either have to go sockless, or if I want to wear socks, wrestle and twist my ankles like crazy while holding onto the back loop. Today, I got so frustrated, I actually cut the top seam down the center. Once in, the shoe is pretty comfortable, although not exactly cushy. It has a firm footbed.

Can’t even get them on

Really cute, but even with a shoe horn I can’t get them on. I have narrow feet and a high instep and the opening is way too narrow. I did not think my feet were unusual so I’m surprised that so many buyers are happy with the fit.
I can’t respond to the real fit as I can’t get them on.
Now I notice many other styles with this no lace opening. Why are designers styling shoes that can’t be worn?
They have already been returned.
