Product Description

From New York Times Bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes SMART TASS, a new Romantic Comedy.

He's the hot college quarterback all the girls want.
She's the smart girl he loves to pick on.
And now that they're all grown up, things are about to get geekin' ugly...

My name is Tass. I'm smart, I'm driven, and I am determined not to let prankster Hunter Johnson continue raining on my parade. When we were little, he'd pull my hair and call me names. When we were teenagers, he'd throw food and tease me for being a flat-chested virgin.

But now that we've ended up at the same college, he's out of his hot head if he thinks he can keep messing with my life. It's like he's fixated on me or something. Well, guess what, Mr. Amazefootball? I'm not that geeky little girl anymore and you do not screw with a smart woman.

So what's my plan?
It's definitely wild, and he's about to find out...

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet, fun read. 15 April 2017

Jock meets nerd as a lifetime of misunderstandings and misconceptions come to a head.

Storyline-
Tass and Hunter have been next door neighbors since they were kids, he was her bully and she was the unattainable. Now they are both in the same college and maybe it’s time to grow up and either move on or get even.

Characters-
Tass is no shrinking violet she is a strong personality she just happens to be a nerd. She views Hunter as her bully from school but there have been softer moments between them that have always confused her.

Hunter is doing his best to hang onto his scholarship and make something of himself. His feeling for Tass have always been complicated but he’s sure of one thing, she is HIS.

My Love Hate Relationship.-
I loved the ‘different’ sort of nerd Mimi brought to the table and the scenes with Hunter’s puppy dog eyes were adorable. It was sweet and funny and everything you could want from a Romantic Comedy. I do wish there had been more sexy time but I totally understand why there wasn’t.

Ratings-
Writing – 5 sparkly pink pens
Violence- 1 punch (a few harsh words do not equate to fists and knives.)
Sex- 2 panty melters (Sex happened when it needed to and made sense and was well worth waiting for)
Romance- 4 Hunter will have your heart fluttering by the end.
Characters- 5 highly entertaining characters.

What goes with this book? #needme’s
Accessory- Glasses, let your nerd flag fly #ProudNerd
Drink- Beer, the first choice of any Frat. #BeerBro
Activity- Learn how to give the best puppy dog eyes. #Pwease
5.0 out of 5 stars Why do u do this Mimi...... 15 June 2017

I have fallen in love with Tass and Hunt. I mean come on this book had it all smarts, witty banter, really hot Hunter, and heroine that I admire.

Tass and Hunt have know each other since they're kids. The relationship has always been not so great. Ok it was full on war sometimes. But now they going to the same college and have been thrown together again.

I related to Tass and Hunt with what was going on with them. I found a sense of ease in between laughing my butt and seeing how their past and present was working together. Elle and Henry who you'll meet in book won me over.

Mimi Jean Pamfiloff has written another amazing book with an the perfect amount of sassy, nerdy awesomeness, hot sexy keg runs, and that trademark cliffhanger (yes she does this a lot, u'll learn to have a love/hate relationship with it hence my title ^), and a really hot drool worthy Hunt!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars ... me preface this review by saying that I absolutely love Mimi Jean Pamfiloff 13 April 2017

Let me preface this review by saying that I absolutely love Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. However, I've come to the conclusion that YA is just not one of my favorite genres anymore and it doesn't seem to matter who writes them, I have trouble connecting with the characters and their immaturity. There really wasn't anything wrong with the story line but I'm afraid that this book didn't do much for me. I'll happily be reading Mimi's future non-YA books but no more of the OHellNO series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun, sweet, engaging love/hate opposites-attract romance 14 April 2017

Tass (Did I miss an explanation on her name) and Hunter Johnson have known each other since pre-school. They are neighbors, started kindergarten together, graduated together, and now they are freshman at the same college on different scholarships. Tass is the brainiac and Hunter is the athlete, and while the romantic set up, a nerd vs. jock love/hate romance, has been done many times before, the climax-conflict is fairly predictable, and there’s a little suspension of disbelief required; there are sufficient reveals in the story to keep you guessing, the writing is smooth, and the characters are engaging. (I was up reading way past my bedtime).

Told via Tass’s sole first person POV, Tass is a dedicated book worm, but she’s no shy wallflower. It’s always refreshing to get a cleaver, strong, and determined heroine. Tass dishes it out as much as she takes it. Hunter’s the outgoing, show-off jock on the outside, but it isn’t hard to see the vulnerable interior he also sports. I really found him a cute with more integrity than he let on and much to offer once he came into his own.

Hunter and Tass get a major A in chemistry! Their interactions even when tormenting each other elicit sexual tension, and under their humorous banter is a strong spark. But Tass and Hunter’s insults, pranks, and torments are coming to a head and how they really feel about each other and whether they know it or not is the game that must be played out.

All in all, I liked both characters and the supporting ones as well. As new adult characters they are realistically flawed, influenced by their peers and parents, and confined by their social structures. There’s a bit of a coming of age element as the duo wrestle with their feelings, identity, and self-awareness. And while there is some drama of their own making, the tone isn’t angsty and the narrative stays light-hearted making it an enjoyable read. The themes of stereotyping, appearances can be deceiving, and judging are strong, but they provide a relevant message.

Now about the fornicating…it was hot and there’s plenty of build up, making you root for them to finally let their sexual frustrations out. But…the story needed more of it, and just when I thought we were getting another go-round, it ends abruptly. So I’m breaking out my puppy dog eyes and begging the author—paweeze write at least a novella HEA for these two from Hunter’s POV.

Smart Tass is the first book in the OHellNo series. The next book features Hunter’s friend Henry and Tass’s roommate Elle.
5.0 out of 5 stars The Nerd and The Quarterback 14 April 2017

I love Mimi Jean Pamfiloff books because they most always make me smile or chuckle or outright belly laugh. This coming of age book is charming, tender and oh so human. How many times have we all misunderstood or misconstrued another's actions or words? Tassie and Hunter's love/hate relationship has gone on since kindergarten without her realizing just how much he means to her. Now they are in college and forced to deal with things as adults, their lives take interesting turns.

I love this book. It was fun to read with very interesting characters and scenarios. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
