Standard for anyone getting into comic collecting. Heavy duty construction, Easy to assemble and holds around 150 bagged and boarded comics. The only storage you need to protect your beloved comic collection.
This a must buy product. I am on my 3rd one now and waiting to get my 4th once available. Each box seems to hold roughly 140ish bagged and boarded comic. Really strong. Had one that was starting to pull apart but I was over filled and once I transferred some out into a 2nd box problem was resolved.
The unit took a bit of time to assemble and get all the pieces to lock but that is a matter of practice. I found the design to be very robust and sturdy. The pieces and overall design are self re-enforcing and will easily handle the weight of the comics. Obviously this product was designed for this specific application and while I would not call it inexpensive, I think it is good value and beats paper boxes by a wide margin. The ability to stack without any risk to the contents is a very strong positive. An excellent product.
Product is very strong and sturdy. Held a lot of comics and can even hold comics in a top-loader. There is a seperate BCW box that will hold your graded comics if you need it. Very impressed that I bought a second one. It is plastic so it does attract dust and hair. I have a golden retriever and her hair seems to gravitate towards the plastic. But the product is what it is and I am very happy with it. It even has two sliding locks on the top and its stackable with a spot for a label so you know whats inside. Definately worth the price for protecting your valuable collections.
This box is pretty sturdy and holds quite a few comics. Easy to put together and provides excellent protection. That being said, I think this should be about $10-$15 cheaper. I was going to buy the cardboard ones but hey are overpriced as well. Figured if I’m going to spend that kind of money, might as well go all out and get the plastic one. Other than that, I would probably buy another one once this one fills up.
These bins are excellent, but local comic book stores sell them for $25 Canadian when they can get them. They were over $55.00 when I bought mine, and they're great. Use the instructions when putting them together and make sure that all the seams are straight and clicked into place. After that, they're fantastic for protecting your comics and other collectables. They stack on top of each other well using nubs on the tops that fit into the one on top, making them fairly sturdy 4 high. I use UltraPro toploaders (7 1/8 x 10 1/2 size) that fit perfectly. One more thing: Give up on getting these or keeping these boxes scratch free. They are finger print and scratch magnets, but they clean up quickly with a microfiber cloth and water.
TLDR: Get these at a reasonable price (around $25-$35) and protect your stuff. They're great if you assemble them patiently according to the instructions.
I like the looks of the bin, and want to protect my comics. It was easy to put together, but I would have preferred something that snapped together tight. This has to be pressed together, but does eventually fit together well with some force. I have some larger magazine size comics that need to go in on an angle. The price of this is a little expensive compared to the actual online store, but still good if you can’t find it online or want to wait for stock.
