The product looks and feels nice but I made an error buying this as I thought the phone holder was actually attached to the back of the case. It’s actually only held there by a magnet, which increases the risk of dropping the handset. That was my fault as I should’ve checked the ad properly. I suppose the benefit is taking the phone out so that the case isn’t cumbersome.

The phone sits snugly in the holder and the material is grooves on the side for good grip.

I got the tan colour and I’m glad I did, it looks good.

I bought one of these a few years ago for my previous iPhone. I was extremely happy with that one and all that it offered and decided that for any new phones I would certainly buy the same again. This time, I’m not as satisfied as it’s not quite the quality of the previous one. I’m not totally convinced that it is a genuine Shanshui case and not a cheaper version. My previous case had the Shanshui name embossed in the leather, this one does not. The quality of the leather is not as good and the magnets holding the phone in place are definitely weaker. Having said all that, I still love the idea of having my phone in this style of case. The wallet give it extra protection and the phone can easily be removed when making a call. It serves as a wallet to carry cards and money in so saves on me taking my regular wallet with me.
