I purchased this can opener for $14 in the 2019 Amazon Prime Day Sale. Did my research, looking for something a complete numpty can use without risk to life or limb (eg. my housemate). This appeared to be designed to do the trick!
It's easy to operate, and requires much less effort than a classic scissor-grip designs. It doesn't create sharp edges on the rim of the tin or the lid. It just breaks the seal with a horizontal cutter. It also doesn't make contact with the contents of the tin, either. I will definitely be recommending this to family, and also taking a second with me whenever I go travelling or camping. This design is excellent
