Product Description

One of the hardest things I have ever had to do was bury my wife.

The second hardest thing would be watching my twelve-year-old daughter fall to her knees as they lowered her mother into the ground to rest.

A heart-wrenching vision that will forever be etched in my mind.

Claire was my best friend—she had been since we were barely old enough to talk. I always knew, one day, I would marry her. I think I may have even told her that a few times while we were growing up.

Never did I think I would lose her so suddenly.

I knew at that moment…

Our life would never be the same again…

This was a lovely story, I liked Amber and how she was sensitive to Ryan's daughter's needs at the time. Looking forward to reading about the rest of the Sawyers!

Another series by Harms. Ryan and Amber are a sweet couple but Ryan's past is interfering and Amber steps back to low him the time and space he needs with his teenage daughter but love wins out and when Ryan's daughter takes it upon herself to rekindle their love it's all fireworks. I love the familiarity of the families it's an emotional book and very much worth reading

5.0 out of 5 stars I WANT A COWBOY COP JUST LIKE RYAN SAWYER!!!!!!! 18 July 2016

This is the first ever book that I have read by C.A. Harms and I can tell you right now it WILL NOT be my last. I fell in love with her writing, her characters and her story. It was absolutely heartwrenching from page one right through to the final page. There were tears of despair and joy throughout the entire novel and I loved every single minute of it.

Ryan Sawyer, Sheriff of the quiet Montana town of Livingston, lost his wife three years ago and is raising is daughter Olivia on his own. He is no longer the man he was prior to the death of his wife, but that is all about to change with the newest resident of the town, Amber Dirksen.

Amber has fled her previous life in the big city of Chicago, after catching her fiance in the arms of another woman. She has moved to Livingston to take over the local Bakery that was once owned by her recently deceased grandmother. But Amber is not the only new resident, she has brought along with her, Bailey her best friend.

There is instant attraction between Ryan and Amber, but the heat between them may never flare due to Ryan's daughter, who is still struggling to come to terms with the death of her mother.

This beautifully written story is one of being able to let go of the past and live in the present and look forward to the future. Yes there are all the usual heated stares, soft touches and stolen kisses, but they all add to the enchanting storyline. There is moments of panic, lust and regret that make this story and the characters all that much stronger. Ryan's gentle nature and Amber's selflessness are what make this story one that readers will most definitely fall in love with.

The love between Ryan and his brothers, I believe is pivotal in this book. If it wasn't for his family, I don't believe he would have been able to make the decision to change his life. Family is a strong theme throughout this story and it is a pleasure to see one that has so much fun poking fun at each other, and giving the reader something to laugh about with their antics.

I am definitely looking forward to reading Book Two in the series Jackson's Destiny.

FIVE STARS Ms Harms for such a wonderful story of love, hope and family.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read!! 19 August 2016

Ryan thought he had it all, the perfect job, perfect daughter, loving wife, only fate wanted to intervene and take one of those away. He lost his best friend, partner, wife suddenly. So it was just him and his daughter Olivia.

Amber grew up in Chicago with a mother who rarely paid attention to her and a father who lived in New York and bought her love. So when her fiancé, that she really didn't love, ended their engagement she decides to move to Montana for a change of scenery. Listing the help of her best friend Bailey she has her dad buy out her grandmas bakery and reopens it within the small city. She didn't know the bakery would also bring her Ryan.

They have to tread lightly. Even though Ryan loved his wife dearly he knew that she wouldn't want him to be alone through life. He was ready to take the plunge and wanted amber by his side. The 2 must sort through their lives and hope that they get the fairytale at the end.

Absolutely great read that I couldn't put down! Can't wait to read about the rest of the Sawyer boys!!!
3.0 out of 5 stars Sheriff widower with daughter fell for the new baker in town who left the city and cheating fiancee behind 21 May 2017

Ryan's Love is about letting go and finally be a little selfish rather than trying to please everybody else. It is an interesting tale of love and regrets.

Ryan Sawyer of Livingston MT lost his wife three years ago and is raising their daughter Olivia by himself. It doesn't help when he's also the sheriff, and Amber Dirksen just moved into town, taking over her grandma's bakery with her best friend Bailey, having fled Chicago and its bad memories of her fiancee in the arms of another woman. Ryan and Amber hit it off right away, but little Olivia is not happy to see her dad move on. Ryan's brothers are ambivalent, Both Ryan and Amber are care GIVERs, ready to take care of others before themselves. Can they ever be selfish enough to give in to their own need for each other?

While I don't feel too much about the chemistry between the two, the situation setup for both, about letting go of each one's baggage and allow the love to shine through was the eternal theme.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good 29 August 2015

This was a really sweet book. I expected it to be full of drama because of the situations each character was dealing with. But it wasn't, it was just an emotional story of second chances.
Ryan lost his wife suddenly three years prior due to a complication after surgery. He's been just existing for his daughter since.
Amber moved into town after buying her grandma's bakery.
She needed a fresh start after leaving her cheating ex behind.
They are instantly attracted to each other. They begin dating but it's not uncomplicated because Ryan and his daughter haven't fully healed from their loss.
Things seem to be a HEA at the end, that is until someone she never wanted to see waltzes through her bakery's door.

5.0 out of 5 stars Country Love 25 April 2017

I'm a sucker for stories about country boys. And I think it's because it's so removed from the life I live. What else can I say?

These two click. Their love is strong and there's no question about it. And I enjoy how the secondary characters build the story up so much more.

I can't wait to read more about the other Sawyer Brothers :)
