Product Description

One of the hardest things I have ever had to do was bury my wife.

The second hardest thing would be watching my twelve-year-old daughter fall to her knees as they lowered her mother into the ground to rest.

A heart-wrenching vision that will forever be etched in my mind.

Claire was my best friend—she had been since we were barely old enough to talk. I always knew, one day, I would marry her. I think I may have even told her that a few times while we were growing up.

Never did I think I would lose her so suddenly.

I knew at that moment…

Our life would never be the same again…

Another series by Harms. Ryan and Amber are a sweet couple but Ryan's past is interfering and Amber steps back to low him the time and space he needs with his teenage daughter but love wins out and when Ryan's daughter takes it upon herself to rekindle their love it's all fireworks. I love the familiarity of the families it's an emotional book and very much worth reading

5.0 out of 5 stars #LovedThisCowboy 17 August 2015
By Jennifer Pierson: The Power of Three Readers - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
I'm not usually a big fan of cowboy books. With that being said, I LOVED Ryan's Love so much! I was shocked to find myself falling in love with a cowboy.

Ryan Sawyer lost his wife unexpectedly from a surgical complication 3 years ago. He and his daughter Olivia, have a hard time getting back to some semblance of a normal life. She is now 15 and showing the typical teenage rebellion. Ryan's whole world revolves around her and the Sheriff's department. So he never saw Amber coming. Amber Dirksen has moved to Livingston to start a new life, after her fiance of 4 years cheated on her. Her grandmother left her her bakery, so Amber is taking it over. When Amber and Ryan come face to face, there's a connection that they can't ignore, and they start to tip toe around each other. Can Ryan hurdle all the obstacles in his path to have a second chance at love?

This was such a sweet 2nd chance romance. I was amazed to find that I had tears in my eyes at the very beginning. C.A. Harms has a fabulous writing style that had me feeling every emotion that the characters felt in the book. They were so easy to fall in love with, flaws and all. Ryan and Amber's chemistry was hot. The secondary characters were so awesome as well, and loved them all. My only wish was that the story was longer as I didn't want it to end. Great intro to a new series that I can't wait to read the rest of. I'm a new fan of C.A. Harms.

Well, I couldn't sleep so I picked up this book thinking a few chapters might relax me and then I could sleep.. well, three hours later after I devoured the entire book I was able to fall asleep.. Wow.. this was a great book! I loved it and would highly recommend it!
Ryan's life is changed forever when his wife, Claire passes away suddenly, leaving him the single father of a pre-teen. He and Olivia have been doing fine and are happy just the two of them...
Until a feisty little thing rolls into town and makes him rethink the rest of his life. Will Ryan find love again or was Claire Ryan's only chance at love?!
4.0 out of 5 stars Passionate moving story 23 August 2015

I have to start off by thanking the author and the tour host for allowing my request to go through and for me to read this. I don't often read blog tour hosts books, I just tend to promote them as I am not sure I can schedule them into my reading matter, but this one I just had to squeeze in as I was attracted to the opening words. I am a sucker for a sad story.

Ryan is left with his twelve year old daughter to bring up. His wife, the love of his life, his forever love and soul mate had died tragically. A gallbladder operation that left fatal complications.

He mourns his wife along with his daughter.

Olivia his daughter and him have a GREAT relationship and there are some really crazy fun moments when they are "messing around" and teasing, but there is equally some proper Father and daughter chats that are there, especially the teenage rebellious times.

I thought Ryan a great fantastic Father, he did his job well.

Amber moves into town, she takes over her Grandmother's bakery.

When Amber meets Ryan, just watch out that spark that ignites from the pages doesn't burn your fingers as you turn the pages, WOW, appeal.

This story shows, that you can find love after loss, eventhough you may not feel that possible.

When Ryan's world collapsed at the loss of his beautiful wife, leaving him with their daughter, who knew what life would have in store for him and his daughter.

Many a tear can be shed, many a lump and hard swallow in your throat and many a 'pass me the tissue' moments.

I loved this style of writing and I do believe this is the first book I have ever read by this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars So simple yet filled with SO MUCH emotion 18 August 2015

So excited for another series by this author !! I have said it before but she writes the perfect stories for me all the time !! They are fast reads , easy to relate to , plenty of angst and drama !! Always hot guys that turn into these AMAZING men and of course I enjoy the chicks too !! The Sawyer brothers seem to have a promising series and I look forward to more. I enjoyed this heartbreaking story of hope and healing. I shed tears , I laughed and I cursed the characters and author !!

Ryan is not only a hot cop cowboy LOL he is also an amazing and sentimental man. A single dad , raising his TEENAGE daughter after the death of his best friend/wife. He has spent the past 3 years doing for everyone but himself. Feeling numb but good enough to live day to day. Then a spark of light flies into town and Ryan is feeling things he hasn't felt in years. Amber moves into town to take over her grams bakery. Not big on family life , Amber never really knew her gram and doesn't have much contact with her parents now. Needing a change she finds herself in this small town being welcomed by all with her best friend by her side and some pretty hot guys hanging around her bakery !! As things progress with Ryan and Amber we find that his sweet loving 15 year old daughter Olivia may not be as receptive to her father's desires as we thought. This poor girl has lost her mom and is just devastated trying to figure out how to process a new woman around. It is so sad and so real. You can feel this families pain as they try so hard to overcome their grief. You go through the motions with them all and as the time sneaks away you want to reach into the kindle and smash their heads together. Sadly this is not a process that can be rushed so plan to hang on for the ride. Thankfully Amber hangs on as well , Olivia finds her way and when she does it is just so heartwarming to read the rest of their story. For as much heartache you feel in this story there comes so much joy and happiness. I loved the ending and I just loved seeing Olivia and Amber form their bond. I am hoping that with the other books we will catch a glimpse here and there of Olivia ,Ryan and Amber !!

If your looking for a killer romance full of emotion then look no further, Ryan's Love is just what you need.
Immediately I found myself drawn to the town, the people and most importantly Ryan.
Ryan lost his wife 3 years ago and has settled into his life which basically consists of his daughter and work. No woman has been able to get his attention since losing the love of his life.
Into town marches Amber to reopen her recently inherited bakery.
As soon as she steps foot into town she meets Ryan. There's attraction on both sides but it's not acknowledged. But it seems every single cowboy in town wants a shot at the new girl, at this point Ryan has to make his attraction known or risk losing a shot with the one woman to stir his interest in years.

The next issue is being careful not to cause his daughter any pain. She's used to being daddy's only girl and is still hurting from the loss of her mother. This is where it gets tricky!

I loved this book, seriously I may have underestimated it going in. I was hooked from the first chapter and read it through in one sitting. Ryan and Amber, his family, all of the townspeople will steal your heart and leave you wishing the story continued.
