Book 7: One To Chase

Runaway, an Amazon freebie, is the prequel novella to the 7th book in the One To Hold series. Story takes place at a wedding attended by 35-year old tatted attorney Marcus Merritt and Amalie Knight, Amy, a 25-year old who abruptly left her job and boyfriend in Paris to return home to Chicago to work in PR/marketing.

Meeting up at the bar, they realize they have something in common; both are bored and why not have a one-night stand with some raw sex against walls and furniture. Hot and heavy, but before they know it their time is up…. To be continued in book 7.

It’s hard to rate novellas but I enjoyed this fast-paced and sexy interlude so I am rating it 4 stars! I am looking forward to their full story in book 7, One To Chase.

RUNAWAY was a perfect teaser to get me excited for ONE TO CHASE, coming in June! I can already tell that I am going to LOVE the dynamic between Marcus and Amy. In just a few pages, sparks fly, and the sexual tension and lust is through the roof! RUNAWAY is in Amy's POV, so we learn a little bit more about her. But the Exclusive Sneak Peek at the end is in Marcus' POV which instantly put a smile on my face. Talk about a Wham! Bam! Thank You Ma'am! Amy certainly got hers! You go girl! Tia Louise always makes me laugh, cry, and blush with her ridiculously romantic and sexy stories. I can't wait for more!!!

I like hot and steamy with a lot of graphic and colorful passion. What this prequel showed me was a couple of privileged brats indulging in a graphic display with little real heat coming off the pages. It didn't come close to making me want to read any more of the series. Sorry, Louise, but the passion meter barely registered on this.

It could be a good read if I had the whole book, but I am on fixed income and only read free books. Sorry. Keep writing the beautiful stories. Good luck with future books. I like romance as well as mysteries, but romance comes first. I can't say any more about the book because I was just getting into it when I came to the end of the preview. Best of luck in the future.
