The Royally Series Collection Kindle Edition

Review for book #1 "Royally screwed" 5 stars

This is the first installment in Royally series, and I've been hearing about it for quite a while now... only good things, so it's no wonder I finally decided to give it a try :) each novel in this series concentrates on a different couple, without cliffhangers or anything, but after reading the first story, I can already tell you... you will be curious about those other books immediately... :) take it from me... I finished this one and started the sequel straight away :) but before I get into all the reasons why I loved this book, let me actually say a bit more about our main couple :)

The name of the series (Royally) should give you a hint that these books will evolve around members of royal family... we start with the older brother, and heir to the throne of a fictional country Wessco, Nicholas :) he was always the more responsible and serious one, as oppose to his younger brother Henry... who is the hero of the second story by the way :) they were both raised by the queen, after the deaths of their parents... which influenced them both in different ways... and even though Nicholas never really rebeled against anything, at the beginning of the book he receives some news that shakes him... to the point that when he goes to New York to get his brother to come back home, he meets Olivia in a very... memorable way... :) Olivia is a waitress in her family's cafe, working herself down to support her younger sister and struggling father... she's young, but already had a hard life... so when one night, during a blizzard, a handsome stranger shows up and... look, it's a great scene and I don't want to spoil too much, so all I'm gonna say is that he's drunk and says some things that results in her shoving a pie in his face and kicking him out... :) yeah... good times ;) next day, when he sobers up and realizes that it wasn't a dream, he of course tries to apologize... which is not as easy as he expected... :) sparks fly and... that's actually all I want to tell you abou the rest of the book :) it's just so much better to read it without any additional details :) instead, let me jump into all my thoughts and feelings about this gem :)

This was my very first book written by Emma Chase, and I immediately fell in love with her writing style :) now the rest of her novels are on my wishlist... I already have all other stories in this particular series on my Kindle :) this contemporary romance definitely had some Cinderella vibes in it... and if you know me, you know I am a sucker when it comes to retellings... *sighs dreamily* ;) I absolutely loved this story... it had everything I'm looking for in a book :) complex and strong characters, witty dialogue, sizzling chemistry, engaging secondary characters and absolutely brilliant writing style... with 2 POVs, which means we got chapters from Nicholas's point of view as well as the ones from Olivia's perspective... :) and it's definitely my favourite... I love to be able to see the world and events from the perspectives of both main characters... :) and Emma Chase does these points of view really well... they are very distinctive and different from each other... the more we get to know about them, the more we root for them and care for them... not only that, but in the meantime, she makes us fall in love with the secondary characters... and sometimes with people you disliked at the beginning... yep, she's that good :) I couldn't put this book down... all I wanted to do was read it :) I laughed and teared up a bit... I gasped in surprise and blushed... :) basically, it hit me in all the feels :) I highly recommend you guys this story if you haven't read it yet :) I will be able to tell you more once I read a few others novels by this author, but I have a good feeling about her... ;) she joins an ever growing group of new authors... new to me, cause they've been publishing for quite a few years already ;) that I am discovering and loving from the start :) Emma is yet another example that you can write a beautiful romance, with adults acting like adults and not hormonal teenagers, when there are no stupid miscommunications and unnecessary drama, and conflicts are resolved fairly quickly... :) so if you are looking for a great romance, for a little bit of a grown up fairy tale that will make you blush and swoon, then definitely give this gem a try :)

My first Emma Chase books, loved them all. I'm a sucker for a good royal book and this didn't disappoint.

You will enjoy getting to know the characters and those around them. Princess storyline. Only wish there was more. Must read.

The best one of the Royally series. Too funny. Can’t wait for the next installment. I loved it so much.

Highly recommend this series! I loved it. If you enjoy English accents the Audible version is great too. Fun, entertaining and great writing.
