About the Author
During her high school and college years, she spent a lot of time dreaming about holding a book in her hands that had her name emblazoned across the front, but she did a lot more dreaming than actual writing.
At her very first job she was fortunate enough to meet her very own tall, dark and handsome hero, who happened to be her boss, and she promptly married him and started a family. It wasn't until she was pregnant with her second child that she found her very first Harlequin Presents book in a local thrift store. She'd never read a Harlequin romance before, and by the time she'd reached the happily ever after she had fallen in love. She devoured as many as she could get her hands on after that, and she knew that these were the books she wanted to write!
Soon after that she saw that Harlequin was running a competition to win an editor for a year. She decided that was her sign to get in gear and start writing again. So she wrote her chapter and synopsis and hit send with trembling hands. She didn't get any feedback from the contest, but it was the boost she needed to get her first full manuscript finished and submitted to Harlequin Presents.
Nearly two years later, while pregnant with her third child, she received The Call from her editor, informing her they wanted to buy that manuscript. She was very glad that the good news didn't send her promptly into labor!
She still can't quite believe she's blessed enough to see her name on not just any book, but her favorite books.
Maisey lives with her supportive, wonderful, diaper-changing husband and three small children across the street from her parents, and the home she grew up in, in the wilds of southern Oregon.
She enjoys the contrast of living in a place where you might wake up to find a bear on your back porch and then head into the home office to write stories that take place in exotic urban locales.

When RITA nominations are announced I usually have a nosy at my fave category so I downloaded a sample from Amazon and it had me at hello. In fact i topped up my visa for this one! If I was clever enough to write a book this would be it! I'm just a reader tho and THIS is what I wait for.
Prince Pato is the worlds best man whore, he's worked, litterally, quite hard in the last few years to tarnish his reputation and present to the world someone who is unworthy of the Kings crown. Just as well since he's the brother of the to-be King. The to-be King's royal PA is assigned to Pato's side and under strict instructions to keep Pato from straying or causing any shame before the to-be King's upcoming royal wedding. Sparks fly from the first page and I guarantee you if you LOVE the sparks to fly in these stories then you wont be able to resist purchasing the book. Check out the sample and let me know if I'm wrong lol.
When I saw the RITA announcement the cover was the American cover but in my end of the world we have the Sexy M&B covers and I saw the two girls and thought well, that's different! The whole book is different and takes us where we've not usually taken before! Once you read the first chapter you'll know what I mean. It's ground breaking really.
The bad boy brother isnt new but the reasons behind the plot are awesome, another reason this is a keeper, Caitlin has managed to take a regular storyline and turn it into something incredible. It's also skillful author that can make you think Man what complete A$$ this guy is and then by the end get you to completely change your mind! I LOVE Pato and I love the witty and humerous conversations that Pato and Adriana have. I laughed giggled and teared up right along side of them.
I sincerely hope against all hopes Pato's brother has his own story and it starts off with him NOT walking down the aisle ;)
I love this book, will buy the paperback and will re read it because of all of the above AND more!
I have to confess that royalty books are not my favourite and nor are "man-whore" heroes but I became so engrossed in the book and could not put it down. The chemistry between Adriana and Pato almost melted my Kindle and I was desperate to see how on earth they would end up together.
Thanks Caitlin Crews for a fab read, especially as it was outside of my "comfort" zone :)
