I loved how colorful these were so ordered. I love the colors. The colanders just arrived in jsst cling wrap type packaging. I am not in favor of lots of extra packaging but there is No product information on a piece of paper or engraved on the colanders. I am not sure if they really are BPA free or not. The legs on the colanders are too short too. They should be a little long enough so that when you are draining liquid, colanders have enough space beneath the colanders to let liquid pass.
This is a $4 item sold for so much more. Its made of rubber and flimsy as h.ll. all this was before i took it out of its cheap wrapping. I unwrapped it to see if maybe there was more to this than the compressed ("collapsed") way it was shipped and no. Even in my most desperate days i wouldn't want this. I'd rather use a pot with lid.
I went ahead and gave these five stars for durability even though I haven't really had them long enough to know that for sure yet! I love that they fold up and that there are three sizes. They are easy to clean and seem sturdy. They hold my brussels sprouts very well while I drain the boiling water from them.
Just like the picture. Bought this for my grandma and she love the product. It’s easy for storage due to the collapsible ability. Handle to use and great for washing fruits and vegetables. Would totally recommend the product.
I live in an apartment with limited storage space. I got these to replace my metal colanders as they took up too much space. These do work great. My husband even placed the colander into a pot with water, put the pasta in. when the pasta was done just lifted the colander out. "This is awesome". I'm not sure if that was the intended use... but it worked. Thing to keep in mind the holes are only on the bottom. Great for keeping the water to go down but doesn't strain as fast as the traditional colander.
I bought them our RV since it had three I decided to leave two are home. I have used them a few times now. I really like them. They don't take up much storage space. They seem flimsy but I drained 1lb of spaghetti noodles and didn't have a collapsing issue like I thought I might.
I was looking to replace my old metal colander set which I'd had for years. They took up too much room in my limited cupboard space and the base had come off one of them. I had been looking at the collapsible silicone ones for a while and the price on these was too good to pass up. I love them. The collapsible feature is great, so little room to store. They are firm enough to place over a bowl to strain soups and frozen veggies, as well as pastas. Easy cleaning, too. I recommend these to anyone who has limited cupboard space and needs good, sturdy colanders.
Purchased the set of 3 about a month ago. Have been using dishwasher to wash the strainers occasionally because they were advertised as dishwasher safe, since I have noticed some browning to the color. Although they don’t feel the most sturdy, none have fallen apart on me. The over the sink strainer is so convenient and is absolutely my favorite.
