Rough Justice gives you that plus so much more, to say I cannot wait until book 2 for Cade and Dawn’s story is a serious understatement, this series is going to be winner and I can tell as I have read my fair share of biker books!
This story centres around Jagger and Arianne, I mean Jagger or Jag as he is know is the President of Sinner’s Tribe and is just sex on a stick. He commands the room and Arianne reads him to perfection and they compliment each other.
Arianne just happens to be the daughter of the President of the rival MC club and is planning on running away from her psychotic father and club. He is so freakin scary, every time he came into the story I literally shook to my core! Arianne also loves motorcycles and happens to be a mechanic – so is independent – I loved her character to bits.
Arianne has a great core group of friends outside of the club who are helping her become a free spirit and were one of my favourite components of this story and Dawn is her girl friend, co-worker and flat mate.
The sexual chemistry between Arianne and Jagger was off the charts and freakin wet your panties stuff and very well written. The suspense and supporting story of the rival MC gangs, drug and gun trade adds some extra drama and entwines the ending into a great conclusion.
The other fantastic part of this book is the supporting characters within the clubs, there were quite a few but it did not feel overwhelming or too much like some other books so well done to the author for meeting that balance. I can remember them, what positions they held and their parts in the final story of finding justice in life.
I am sure Jagger and Arianne will play a role in book 2 Beyond the Cut and Book 3 Sinner’s Steel – I have already added these to my Goodreads list as do not want to miss these bad boys when they get released.
Told from third person point of view ROUGH JUSTICE focuses on an attack against the Sinners Tribe MC by a rival club that resulted in one member dead, their club house destroyed and Arianne Hunter –a prisoner of the Sinners Tribe MC. Left behind at the scene of the crime, Arianne finds herself not so much a prisoner but owned by the club president. Believing Arianne was a party to the death and destruction, the Sinners Tribe members want to make an example out of her but Jagger sees something different in Arianne-he sees a possible future, if only a temporary one.
The attraction between Arianne and Jagger is immediate but one of forbidden love. As a member of the rival MC, Arianne is off limits but it is her true identity that will force Jagger to think long and hard about what it is he wants and what he now has to do. Arianne refuses to return to her old club but her reasons are more complicated and darker than Jagger could have known.
Jagger is a powerful, alpha male; a dominant club president whose word is law and he is the final authority. Nothing is done without his permission but saying that he is a man with a heart-buried deep within a scarred chest-but a heart that believes all women should be protected. Jagger has a softer side, one that does not go unnoticed by his fellow club brethren when he begins to lose focus on what is important to the club. Loyalties and leadership will be questioned. When one of his fellow club brothers targets Arianne for justice, Jagger must step up and enforce the MC laws.
Arianne is a strong willed woman determined to leave town and start a new life away from the destructive nature of the biker lifestyle. She has faced death, experienced assault and brutal beatings but it is her love for her brother that has forced Arianne to make the decision to run. Saying that, our heroine, is torn between wanting to leave and remaining a part of Jagger’s life. In this, there is a continuous push and pull throughout the storyline; Arianne runs hot and cold. Our heroine believes herself to be capable of self preservation and survival but at times it will take an emotional and angry Jagger to save her from herself and others.
The supporting and secondary characters are numerous including many members of the Sinners Tribe MC. We are introduced to Jagger’s fellow bikers including Cade, Zane, Axle and Wheels as well as Banksy, the local bar owner whose background is secretive and dark. Arianne’s family plays a dangerous role in her need to run but none more so than a father who views his daughter as less than worthy.
ROUGH JUSTICE is a graphically violent storyline about betrayal, revenge and justice but not as graphic as some of the current MC series on the market. The language is strong but, again, not as explicit as other stories in the same genre. Don’t get me wrong, this is definitely an adult storyline, with adult and erotic situations, graphic language and depictions of violence, with lots of sex between our H/h but the brutality is not always ‘in your face’; some of the situations take place behind the scenes or as part of a memory and backstory; and the language is tempered in comparison. There are some issues of repetition and redundancy but overall your eyes should not bleed after reading the story.
Sarah Castille does a wonderful job with the first storyline in her new Sinners Tribe MC series. With the introduction of many of Jagger’s fellow club brothers, we get a little background into their history, their heartbreak and their connections to one another. If you are new to the MC genre, the Sinners Tribe MC series by Sarah Castille is a must read; get your feet wet with ROUGH JUSTICE and club president Jagger Knight.
Had all the elements of a biker book, Alpha President, Hot bikers, violence and respect, issues between clubs and some hot sexy times.
Arianne is a hoot and i loved her fierce attitude and her protective streak for those she cares about. She is an aspiring character that I love to read about a woman with a back bone and a sweet side.
Jagger is hot and takes to the Alpha role beautifully, his demanding ways and sweet side work well to make an interesting and readable character.
As a couple Jagger and Arianne really work well together with her background and his presidency they know the limits and push them anyway.
The side characters get good air time and give you just enough to want to read their stories and continue on with the series.
The overall plot is great with twists and turns that take you in a number of directions.
There are some spicy sexy scenes to get you through some of the violence and action.
All up I think this is a great beginning to what will be an enjoyable series.

The action was great as were most characters. I loved Jagger, an alpha-male with vulnerability. You hardly read that in mc romances and I for one love these kinds of male characters. I always enjoy reading about a "1%" that goes against what is supposed to be the "norm". Because reading about a guy always being a d*** gets boring. Not that Jagger was an angel, he had his "me man, you woman" moments.
I however DID NOT like Arianne. She drove me crazy (I was constantly putting my book down and asking myself, "b*tch what?!") I was so annoyed with how she kept going back and forth with Jagger. One moment she sees him as "safe" then he does something that she doesn't like then she's "he's like Viper!" She was so judgmental when it came to Jaggers' code and how his club was, that all she saw were things that should've been normal or at least expected. And all through she's been wanting to leave? She only attempted 1 escape. If she wanted out she could've done it. She reminded me of Rachel from Friends *frustrated sigh*
Another thing that was a little iffy about this was that her characters were easily swayed. Moments where things could've intensified were left in a puff of smoke.
Overall it wasn't bad and I'm going on with the series.
Pros--I loved the characters. H was had the whole "good guy in a bad guy position" going on. h was a strong female lead, and could keep up with the boys. I liked the H's possessive attitude, felt the couple's chemistry, and liked them together. Intimate scenes were well done--not over-the-top cheesy, but nicely spicy with lots of "dirty talk". I liked the author's writing style (I have read from her before, and I enjoy her style as a whole). Good secondary characters and lots of action.
Cons--I felt H was a little "too" nice. This is supposed to be a group of "one percenters". I think I would have preferred them to be just a group of tough bikers instead of giving them that title. I'm not an expert on mc etiquette, but it seemed to be contradictory to a lot of their actions. h seemed a little too "hot and cold" for me. She kept trying to leave town on second, then was all over the H another--like in the same paragraph. It kind of gave me whiplash. I did like the writing style, but some of the things that were going on were concluded "behind closed doors" and discussed later. An example of this is the conclusion of the pool hall scene. Lastly, I usually do base my review on spelling and grammar since I am not an expert in these. However, there were a lot of bad guys in this story, and the author mixed up two of them--She put that Axle crashed the birthday party, when it was Leo. I thought this was confusing, and had to go back to check.
But in the end, I did enjoy the story. I probably seem a little picky here, but these are the reasons I couldn't get myself to "love" the story--it kind of made the story not sit right. There is a nice setup for the characters in next book, which I most likely will be reading.
Thoughts: It has been some time since I read Rough Justice. As I am trying to catch up on my reviews from my long blog hiatus I realized I did a meme for Rough Justice but never did my review. While I am always looking for a new Biker Romance to win me over I still think about Rough Justice. It has everything I love in my biker reads. Gritty feel when needed and not over the top with eye rolling shocker moments. MC drama with action. Alpha Male hero that is protective but also can be gentle when needed. Brotherhood feel and fun banter with the club members.
Jagger was such an interesting character. He is calm, in control of everything and everyone around him. Loved that he does not disrespect woman. He is one to use his brains before his fist in certain situations. But make no mistakes because someone pushes him too far he has no problems giving a good butt whipping. Jagger made my book boyfriend list and fell hard for his character. When he loves he loves hard.
Arianne I loved her character and she was perfect for Jagger. She knows the biker life but her life was so different from how Sinner's Tribe MC treat their woman. She knows nothing but how bad her dad the president of a rival MC and his members treated her and their woman. She can hold her own in the biker world but at the same time know when she can not. She is his equal and has his back. All she has left for family is her brother and she wants so badly to save him from falling in their father's footsteps. But the problem is he has already started falling in their dads footsteps. My heart ached for her as she was so determined to save and help her brother.
Loved this book. There were some slow parts but overall it was really good. I loved the actual biker action all through the story. I loved Jagger and Arianne together but the discord and trust issues got on my nerves a bit. Arianne was very tough and confident in her abilities which was great but I really would have like to have seen her in a little more of a vulnerable female role at times. The character building was pretty good but could have used a little more, especially on the supporting characters. I didn’t feel as close to them as I would have liked. Maybe it expands in the next book. I didn’t like the ending, it wasn’t a cliffhanger but it just kind of ended with no epilogue. I enjoyed the book enough to move on to the next one, Beyond The Cut.
