After reading all the reviews I couldn't wait to read this book. Once I got started it turned unrealistic. Here is a father who dedicated and loved his daughter for 4 years. Karen the child's mother leaves her when she was an infant, having no contact (her choice). She hires an attorney to get custody for child support.
Unbelievable, Hailey has an accident while playing at the park and all of the sudden Mitch is an unfit father. He's no longer allowed to see his daughter unsupervised.
Amanda who is his ex-wifes attorney is so annoying always thinking the worst of Mitch because of her childhood upbringing. She doesn't give him credit for how well and loving Hailey is, yet she's quick to judge him as a bad father.
This book proves how messed up our court system is to take a child from a loving father who's raised her from birth and gave her to her mother. She gave her up at birth yet the judge thought a daughter should live with her mother because she's a girl.
Amanda was very judgemental with everything Mitch did yet he had to apologize for being the man he was in order to earn Amanda's love to marry him.
Karen decided she wanted an active role in her daughter's life yet Mitch stated Hailey was now Amanda's daughter . 🤔 That ship sailed when Karen won full custody.
