DISCLAIMER: This book was originally published in December 2014 with the title "Sand & Snow" by Sarah Robinson. Since then it has been re-edited, a few short scenes here and there added in, and given a new title and a new cover in order to improve the novel. This is the final product of that revision process so there have been a lot of changes, but the story itself is relatively the same. This novel is meant for 18+ years old.

I really enjoyed Sand and Snow by Sarah Robinson. This is a novella about Logan and his friends returning to his hometown for Christmas. It was really fun to catch up with everyone. I loved watching Caroline and Logan's relationship grow even stronger. I love seeing Logan's interaction with his parents. I really hope there will be more books in this series.

4.0 out of 5 stars My favorite of the series! 4 January 2015
By Carol - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition

Sand and Snow: A Novella is #1.5 in the Sand & Clay series by Sarah Robinson and was my favorite of the series.

“Sometimes she couldn’t believe how wonderful this man was, it didn’t seem real. As if it was unbelievable that anyone could love so much or have a heart so big to do the things he did.”

Logan and Caroline are so happy, finally getting to experience the love they share without anything coming between them. It’s Christmas and they have decided to go to Logan’s parent’s home in Connecticut to share the holiday with them. Caroline’s friend Aralia is going along and Logan’s old band mates we met in Logan’s Story are there as well. It was so great to see everyone back together again. Logan has bought his parents a beautiful home right on the beach. They are in such a better place than they were when we first met them. I love Logan’s parents by the way. Just love them!

“I fell in love with a man, then a musician, then an artist, then so much more. But today? Today I fell in love with a man who would do anything to take care of his family.”

Caroline has some decisions to make about her own future. The only certain thing is that Logan will be a part of it. Her father is so angry with her for leaving the law firm. Can Caroline somehow make her dream come true of making a living with her art?

I loved seeing how Logan and Caroline are together. They are so good for each other and wow, the chemistry! We get to know Aralia a little better in this book as well as Dylan. It seems like there is more there so I wonder if Sarah Robinson is going to write more about them?

I did enjoy some of the interactions between Caroline and her own parents in the previous book but still, when you compare the stiff way they are to the loving atmosphere she gets to experience with Logan’s family, what a contrast!

“Logan’s family was the definition of joy and laughter, while hers had been stoic and proper.”

This was a lovely, short book full of Christmas love and joy. It seems Caroline and Logan will get their happily ever after. It was wonderful revisiting Logan’s home town and his family and friends and the end of the book left me with a smile. I have truly enjoyed this series and getting to know Logan and Caroline.

“The things that bring you peace are the ones that will last forever.”

This book picks up in Greece. Caroline has abruptly quit her job to go with Logan overseas. The Christmas holidays are approaching and Caroline has never missed a Christmas with her family. Her father, however, is still up upset with her choice to quit her job and pursuit of her career as a lawyer. Logan suggests that they go to his family for the holidays, which happens to be only a few hours from her parents. Caroline is extremely nervous to meet Logan's family, mostly because she's aware of Gina's impact on his family.

This story is so sweet and Logan proves to be an extra special boyfriend and his family has accepted Caroline as their own. The novella is full of heart-warming moments as Logan is brought down memory lane while Caroline is introduced to Clay family traditions. With Caroline's best friend, Aralia, and Logan's childhood friends/old band-mates along for the ride, there is plenty of laughter, tears, angst, and sexy-time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Such a sweet story! I love Logan and Caroline! 8 January 2015

I absolutely loved this book! Sand & Snow is the continuation of Logan and Caroline's story. It starts off in Athens Greece with their whirlwind romance. Caroline dropped everything, including her job, to be with Logan. When she gets back to New York she is more in love than ever and agrees to move in with Logan. She is happy, except for the strain her leaving her job put on her relationship with her father. He is angry with her and this is her first Christmas ever that she won't be spending it with her parents. Logan being the amazing boyfriend that he is does everything he can to make her happy and their first Christmas together special. He takes her and her best friend, Aralia, to his family's home to meet his parents for Christmas. I fell so in love with Logan and Caroline as a couple and watching the interaction between Logan and his family. So much happens in this book. Logan's former band mates and best friends join them for Christmas. Things get pretty heated between Aralia and Dylan and they have quite the Love/Hate relationship. I sure hope to see a book for them in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful Christmas Romance by the Talented Sarah Robinson 16 December 2014

Another of Sarah's books read in one sitting - truly one of my favourite author's

After Caroline runs of to Greece with Logan leaving her job and family with no word till after the event. Her father is more than a little unhappy at her behaviour at calls off the traditional Christmas gather. Logan seeing the women he love's sad invites her to Christmas with is family. Aralia, Caroline's BFF tags along and with Logan's former bandmate's around sparks are going to fly especially with Dylan who she seems to develop a love/hate relationship - I really hope Sarah Robinson does a book about these two, as I would love to see where this relationship would go with the chemistry between the two.

Caroline mean while falls in love with Logan's family and them with her - will Logan take their relationship to the next level. Will Her drawing career take off. Will Caroline and her father ever meant the somewhat broken relationship between.

You will just have to read and find out
