About the Author
S.E. Smith is an award-winning author of New York Times, USA Today, and internationally bestselling science fiction, fantasy, paranormal, and contemporary works for adults, young adults, and children. She enjoys writing a wide variety of genres that pull her readers into worlds that take them away.
Samantha Cook is a bookaholic obsessed with novels about strong, sexy, smart women. Audiobook narrating was as natural a choice as breathing. When not recording in her LA studio, she can be found wandering the museums of Paris, imagining herself as a Degas dancer, Chateaubriand's Atala, Canova's Psyche, David's Josephine, or Venus (preferably with arms intact).--This text refers to the audioCD edition.

Then (spoiler alert) the heroines fell instantly for three alien brothers, pretty much instantly. Yeah right. Then came the butt plugs and nipple clamps. Not really first date material in my mind but maybe I don't watch enough bad porn.
After that I lost interest as I just couldn't buy into the world the author tried to create. It was both icky and unbelievable.
I loved River, Star and Jo and this book was one of the best reads I have had in ages.
So much happens I cannot tell you in a review as it goes in many directions.
Whilst this book focuses on River and Torak we have the others all weaving through it.
If you like amazing capable women kicking alien butt and finding their HEA's with hot hunky alien shifters whilst fighting a background battle this book is for you.
This book ties in with Ms Smith’s alien world.

This particular set of books has been a laugh out loud fun ride
I love the world's I love the male counterparts to the female leads
All in all a great read 😊
Now I have the paperback and have read it several more times. The plot is similar to alot of other books but the heroine is unique. The play between the hetroine and the hero is true to life with insecurities and cultural differences causing all sorts of misunderstandings that ultimately the heroine has to accept if she wants her true love.
They may be galaxies apart, but like all good stories, love always finds a way.
