I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story was interesting and skillfully written, keeping me always curious about what was going to happen next to each character. The characters were so well developed that I felt that I knew them and will carry them in my heart For a long time to come. This is Moore’s debut novel and I hope we will be hearing more from her. I would particularly like a sequel of some sort as I want to see where life led the individuals characterized here in River Rocks. What kind of man does Boyo become? Does Ruby stay on her positive path? Does Bean’s health hold up? How does Jake and Suzan’s relationship go in the future? What becomes of Molly? I want to know...

I was drawn into this story on the first page. The characters are believable and I would love to be introduced to them in person. The book is well written and is very engaging. I read it in almost one setting -- bathroom and food breaks. I was sad to finish the book, and I'm sure I will read it again just in case I missed something. I loved the settings, both Alaska and West Virginia; both were described so well, I felt I was in the story myself. Carry on, Cathy. Waiting for the next book.

Shorter days and lower temperatures mean more time inside, snuggled up reading, and River Rocks is the perfect book for that. You will enjoy getting to know the characters and wonder what they're up to far after the last page.
