Ring, the smart home security solution that lets you watch over your home from anywhere, now works with Alexa! Simply enable the Ring Skill via your Alexa App and link your Alexa and Ring accounts.
Now you can see, hear and speak to people in front of your camera from your Echo Show, Echo Spot, Echo Speakers (such as Echo, Echo Plus and Echo Dot). Simply say: “Alexa, answer the front door.” “Alexa, talk to the backyard.”
When Ring Doorbell is pressed, live view automatically streams on Echo Show along with the Announcement. Selecting specific Alexa devices for Doorbell, Motion & Person notifications is available. You can also have Alexa play a chime when someone rings your Ring doorbell or use Alexa Routines to enable custom announcements or any other Routines (including turning on other smart home devices, playing news/ music etc.) when your Ring camera detects movement or someone rings the doorbell camera.
Multiple Alexa devices can now talk to one Ring doorbell/camera at the same time.
You can access the Live view from your Ring cameras by saying: “Alexa, show the front door.”
To stop your Ring feed, you can say: “Alexa, hide the front door.” “Alexa, stop.” “Alexa, go home.”
Viewing live activity also works with Shared Users, so anyone connected to your Ring camera can use Alexa to see who’s at your home.
The Ring Skill connects your Ring Video Doorbell, Ring Video Doorbell 2, Ring Video Doorbell 3, Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus, Video Doorbell Pro, Video Doorbell Elite, Floodlight Cam, Spotlight Cam , Stick Up Cam Wired/Battery/Plug-in and Ring Stick Up Cam Battery to your Echo Show, Echo Spot, Echo Speakers. The original Ring Video Doorbell and Stick Up Cam are not fully supported at this time.

I can easily and quickly see my front door and listen to what’s going on just by asking Alexa to show me the front door. Works flawlessly however please make sure you have a good internet connection. If it’s not that good just invest in a range extender like I did and problem solved Yet another 5 🌟 Star personal review Thanks Amazon and Ring 👍
Ring works well with Alexa and being able to choose from several different chime sounds is fabulous, too. However I ONLY need the chime sound and not Alexa additionally announcing "someone is at your front door" - that's quite obvious when the door bell is rung! It would furthermore be appriciated if there was at least one option to choose the same sound across the door bell, the chime pro and alexa devices. Lastly, atm the door bell rings, Alexa announces "someone is at the front door", I have to give the command to show the frontdoor, then the command to talk to the front door - if I would like to talk to the person shown - by the time I'm actually able to start a conversation I can see the visitor walking away :-(. Echo spot and echo show should play the chime ONLY and automatically show the front door when the door bell is rung, so I only have to say "talk to front door" to start the two way conversation. If i see the person and dont want to to start a conversation, I'm happy to watch this person walking away, but at least I had a chance to talk to her/him. AN UPDATE IN THE NEAR FUTURE PLEASE. Thank you!
Love the Ring products (I have 7) and love the way they interact with Alexa and how I can get notifications and call up video feed on any camera, but the weird thing is I can't actually turn motion alerts on or off on my Ring Cameras like I can with the Google Assistant. I've since had it confirmed with Ring support that this feature is not possible with Alexa which seems dumb as Amazon own Alexa and Ring. Apart from that, it's fantastic
It works with the Echo Plus 2nd gen but very basic. What's the point of not enabling an audio communication. I don't understand how hard it is to enable that skill between echo devices that don't have a camera and the ring doorbell 2. It works perfectly on the Ring app, but that's to be expected. However there needs to be much better integration with all Alexa enabled devices. This includes Echo Plus and Dot.
5.0 out of 5 starsThis is why I bought the Echo Show!!!

I have five ring camera systems at my house and they all work great! The hardwired to power cameras immediately live view connect to Echo Show when I ask for them by their name. The battery powered ones do need to wake up for live view but they immediately connect if an event has already been triggered. This is going to be immediately popular with the kids who do not have the ring app installed on their phones. Can't wait to play more with this!
