I do recommend this tent if you have a jeep and kids, but I'm not confident it'll survive a year of actual camping use. I've used this tent on 3 different occasions now. Within a month, I've had two different parts rip: one of the side pole connections, and the netting around the door.
As far as use on a jeep, it's amazing! It fits perfectly and I can let the kiddo sleep on top while I sleep down below. Furthermore, I can lock up the and leave the back window open so I can talk to him and see him, while the alarm goes off if he tries to get out.
Do yourself a favor: get some better stakes, and a 36" rolling duffel bag to put the whole thing in. You'll never get that thing back into the bag it came and it's not worth bothering with. Also, leave the windows and the doors partially unzipped when you pack it up so you can get all the air out before you fold it.
The Right line Gear SUV Tent lets you sleep off the ground in the comfort of your own vehicle. The tent connects to the back of any size SUV, minivan, wagon, or pick-up truck with cap. Large size no-see-um mesh windows and doors have storm covers that can be closed for privacy. The SUV Tent features (2) gear pockets, a lantern hanging hook, and glow-in-the-dark zipper pulls. The vehicle sleeve easily disconnects, allowing you to leave the tent behind as you go about the day's adventures.
