When Jo and Ash are having their family Sunday lunch, happy and content with their lives, there is a knock at the door and everything quickly changes! Trust issues, lies, fear start to appear! Who should you trust, family or the police?
I loved this book, not wanting it to end! 🙄. DCI Tom Douglas (I'm in love with this character!) and DI Becky Robinson work so well together!
Well done Rachel, best EVER BOOK.
I would like to thank Black Dot publishing for sending me an advanced copy of this book.
Rachel excels in the psychological thriller, creating characters that you care about and a plot with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing to the end. I particularly like her final twist which often leaves you thinking long after the book is finished.
Whilst it was great to catch up with Tom and other familiar characters this book could stand alone if you've not read the previous books in the series. I would recommend that you do though, as they're all excellent.
And what an ending... Rachel Abbott is a twisted lady!!!
As with all the Tom Douglas books there is mystery and intrigue. As well as Jo's main story we also find out a small bit more about what is going on in Tom's and Becky's lives. I enjoyed the pace at which the chapters changed to give view points from the different characters in the story. You will not be disappointed when you read this book.
I also love going back and re-reading Rachel’s previous books whenever there is a new release and one of the benefits of a Dory memory is not remembering ‘whodunnit’!
I can’t recommend Right Behind You enough- Rachel excels again. Enjoy...
It was a fast paced intriguing story. Every mothers worst nightmare! Such an unusual scenario, and one that could happen, given the sort of people that could carry out something so drastic.
Kept thinking I knew who was behind it, but I was wrong. The ending took me by surprise, but I was a bit doubtful about all the characters towards the end.
Really enjoyed this book. This is the second of Rachel Abbotts books I have read, and I can see she has written many more, which will keep me supplied with good stories for a long time.
