The story is believe but with a touch of what could happen.
I Liked the character however would not want to many more introduced and like the Action parts more than the political parts however the political side does keep the big picture believable. I hope they continue to do the Audio books for the rest of the series but as yet it appear not, as I don't often read and listen to book 95% of my leisure time.

Unlike Clancy the politics described are childish in their simplicity, and reflect a dystopian future painted by and America First, and Alone, Trumpian paranoia. For the UK, those who regard the EU as some sort of 4th Reich will love the storyline, while the descriptions of organisations such as the UN will gain nods of approval from conspiracy and World Government theorists. Finally just about the whole Democratic Party and their supporters are painted as traitors or idiots.
So by all means read the series, I probably will if the volumes go on low price offer on Kindle, but allow yourself to have a good chuckle at the gross exaggerations and fantastic plot convolutions the authors have thrown into the mix, and enjoy the portrait of a confused President who every time he tries to act like a statesman digs himself deeper into the mire, while the US Intelligence Community seems to have dissolved.
The story is a slow burner, carefully crafted by the authors to draw you in.
Then POW......hits you with a sledgehammer. Really credible tale. What if's turn
Into could happen then to will happen as it speeds on to the finale.
You know when you finish a book and on turning the page it says The End, to be continued, and you say damn and blast gotta wait for the next one now.
This is one of them. A very frightening, what if!
Almost gave it only 4 stars because Brits don't under most circumstances let their friends down.
Writer of Last Man Standing, series on Kindle
However apart from that it’s a fantastic book. The plot itself is very topical and scarily close to current events. I will definitely read the next books
