My favourite characters were, in fact, the two youngest being Sam and Ben, they simply stole my heart. The way they interacted with Cora was really intricate to Slider opening his own heart. The affection and devotion the two young brothers had for Cora was just beautiful and provided great humour too.
Slider was hard to connect to at the start but once he opened his heart well he became the man he should have been. His path to forgiving himself for the past and be able to move forward provided a great story.
Whilst I have not read the first two of this series it does not matter, this is Cora and Slider’s romantic story and it was perfect. There are some heat filled passionate moments that are enjoyable but it was their emotional connection I loved.
Ride Wild was paced well and kept me entertained and also included some mystery and suspense towards the end. I enjoyed following the MC club welcome Slider back to the group.
The way the author ended the story was lovely and I was left with no questions as to their future.
Quote: “I see you,” he said. “Always.”

It's always fun to go back to this world and get the chance to catch up with the Raven Riders, there are so many characters here to love and I've been wanting to see Slider's broken heart healed for a long time now. We've seen the attraction building between him and Cora over the last few books so it really was about time they gave into temptation and their chemistry was so hot it was definitely worth waiting for. I thought I knew what I was going to get in this story but Slider's issues are different to what I was expecting and his wife's death was the least of them. He blows hot and cold with Cora but once we discover what happened in his past it becomes very easy to understand where he's coming from. No matter how he is feeling about anything else he always puts his boys first but he's been so lost recently that they're all suffering together. I loved seeing Cora help the boys come to terms with their loss but also helping Slider remember how to have fun with them and rediscover his friendships with the rest of his MC.
Cora herself has only ever wanted a family to love and who will love her in return. Her father treated her horrifically and the only person who has ever really been there for her in the past is Haven so this story is about her finding acceptance and friendship amongst the Raven Riders as well as love and a family with Slider and his boys. Both Slider and Cora deserve their happily ever after and I enjoyed seeing them finally achieve it. There are still plenty of characters who I'm hoping to see get their own happy endings so this series continues to be an auto-buy for me. There is just something about Laura Kaye's writing that sucks me in every time and she always leaves me wanting more.
Cora and Slider have both been through such difficulties in the past that they have kept buried and secret even from those closest to them that it’s a wonder that they manage to find their way through to each other. I particularly like that this isn’t a case of insta-love, but something that creeps up on them, as they care for Slider’s children together.
This is book is a great illustration of how families can be made of both blood and choice, as in the smaller family of Slider and his two sons and the wider family of choice in the Raven Riders and also Cora and her sister of choice, Haven, who she shared such difficult early years with. Cora has been through hell and back but has always kept a smile on her face and hidden all her problems. It’s wonderful to read how she gently brings joy back into the lives of two young boys and more slowly their father and how they bring hope and a home to her.
Laura Kaye writes books that despite being about situations that are anything but normal feel real when you read about the emotions of the characters. You feel for them and want their happiness.
All in all, a really lovely book.
Two years after the death of his wife, Slider is still grieving. Working full time and looking after 2 young (and adorably cute) boys, Sam and Ben. Enrolling the help of Cora to babysit when he’s working the night shift is probably one of his better moves, his boys love her and she loves them, she’s a natural. A few months into their arrangement things start getting complicated and feelings start getting involved, Sam and Cora have an unmistakeable chemistry, but neither are in a position to take things further. With so many secrets between them friendship is all they can commit to. A story about family and commitment with the usual MC drama involving all the Raven Riders and their women. This time as well as dirty cops, we have an underground dog fighting ring to deal with. Lots of action, steamy moments, cute moments and super emotional scenes. I loved it. A full five stars from me.
All the Raven Riders books can be read as standalone.
Plus it was great to catch up with all the Raven Riders and I honestly can't wait to read more from this series in the future. And I'd happily recommend Wild Ride to others.
I loved these two, and not forgetting Sliders sons Sam & Ben, this is a heartwarming story, covers some tough subjects but what I love about this series is Family, the Raven ‘brothers’ are always there for each other and it’s great to catch up with our favourites especially Dare & Haven.
Oh and the ending & epilogue were perfect!
I adored Sided- and Cora. They are beautifully written characters. There is some drama and tension but so much love in this book , it practically shimmers off the pages.
This is the 3rd in the series, Raven Riders. This was a really hard book for me to read being a rescuer of Animals. But so worth it.
It is about Slider Evans and Cora Campbell.
Slider has been living his life for his two sons and nothing else. His wife died from Cancer. Nothing holds his interest anymore—not even riding his bike or his membership in the Raven Rider.
Cora Campbell free from a bad situation is determined to bury the past. And begin her life she has always dreamed about. When Slider offers her a nanny position, she accepts, needing the security and time to save money for school and her own vehicle. Cora adores his sweet boys, but her attraction to their brooding, sexy father, is over the top.
But when Cora witnesses something she shouldn’t have, the new lives they’ve only just discovered are threatened. Now Slider must claim—and protect—what’s his before it’s too late.
Cora Campbell still has fear that her father will find her after the Raven Riders helped with Haven and Cora's escape but it will be Slider, Sam, and Ben Evans that will heal them and give her the family she's wanted forever. When Slider offers her a job as a nanny to the boys will be the beginning of healing for all 4 of them. But when injured Pitt bull dogs start showing up at the animal shelter where Cora volunteers it will open up a thought that involves Jagger arrest and a dog fighting ring plus a corrupt sheriff. Will Slider and the Ravens be able to save everyone when Cora is kidnapped? Or will he lose the love of his life?
Sam "Slider" Evans still is reeling from his late wife's affair but when she gets breast cancer he cares for her until the end. But he vows to take care of his boys and never fall in love again. Until Cora starts caring for the boys and they both realize that love will heal them both. Can he save Cora when she's taken or will he realize that his Raven Rider's family has always been there and will do anything for family?
Cora Campbell has also been someone you just knew there was more to what we knew from her introduction in Dare and Haven's book as the best friend who got Haven away from a bad home life. She had been hiding a horrifying secret from her best friend and everyone else that was still causing her nightmares.
Slider and Cora were two emotionally broken people that, one conscientiously and one unconscientiously, were looking to belong to a family. Slider technically already had a family being the single dad of two boys but the loss of his wife, in more ways than just her passing from cancer, left a huge hole in his heart. Both had leaks in their dam's and they each ended up being the plug that healed one and gave the other what she had been looking for her whole life.
Along with the emotional love story there is also a side plot of a dog fighting ring that actually ends up wrapping up some loose threads from the early books which made me very happy.
I hope there are at least 3 more books in the series – Phoenix, Jagger and Caine have played such big roles in the series that you want to see them get their HEA..
