Product Description

When Serenity Resorts disappears, Jonathan and Isabelle must play a magical game of seduction to find their way back.

After a string of bad relationships, Isabelle planned to escape the real world with a tropical vacation. But escape becomes too real when Paradise Resort disappears. To find her way back, she must break an oath and out-play a man whose appeal is much too physical. Her self-control is resolute until Rhapsody becomes a game she wants to play.

Jonathan’s needs are simple: break down Isabelle’s resistance, win the game, and get back to the real world where an emergency waits. Desire grows as the sexy game-play forces secrets, fears and passion. Jonathan never expected to meet a woman like Isabelle. At the end of the game, they must determine how to escape together, or he’ll lose Isabelle forever.

This story was an exploration of a seduction. While it was well done, I had issues with it - mostly that it was arranged by a third (magical) person, and it felt, at least to me, as if that person was a voyeur. I did finish the story and if you're okay with the premise, I think you'll enjoy it. It was a complete, standalone story with HEA.

Isabella just wants to be treasured, and she has taken a self-imposed vow of celibacy. A tricky matchmaking elf named Finn decides to meddle with Isabelle's plans by trapping her on a beach with Jonathan and a seductive board game called Rhapsody. Isabelle and Jonathan must play Finn's sexy game if they ever want to return to their vacation resort. There can only be one winner...that's the trick. Can Isabelle resist Jonathan and win the game? Will Jonathan find himself wanting to treasure Isabelle, or is he determined enough to ensure that he's the champion of Finn's game? Who knew a book about a board game on the beach could be entertaining to read and difficult to put down? You must read Sharon Clare's Rhapsody to discover the answers to these questions and so much more...

Liked the ending very much. But was a bit confused as to who Finn was, yes an elf, but was he a matchmaker gone rampant or was he a scientist? good read

What an intriguing and unique story! I loved this authors writing style. You have a sexy heroine and a hunky man and a very mischievous elf. I will definitely be reading more from this author!

My mouth is hanging open in awe. Sharon Clare is an author to be reckoned with. To have handled this story, this game, this moment, keeping us all completely engaged, believing and wanting, right to the very end, is an absolute masterstroke of writing. If anyone challenged me with the premise - a game, a simple board game - I would've scoffed and said it couldn't be done, or that it would be boring, and if I had put my hand to the task, I would have been right. Not so Ms. Clare, and we may all thank our lucky stars for it. The story itself is beautiful, even timeless, and the skill that brought it forth, inspiring. I ADORED her first book, Love of Her Lives. It made me laugh out loud many times, and kept me enthralled to the very end, and here again, she proves her worth. While the backstory premise is akin to the first book, Rhapsody follows a completely different, although equally and hugely satisfying path. Am I waxing rhapsodic? You betcha! Very well done!
