Product Description

The only man Haven Wells ever loved left her broken, feeling emotionally battered and imperfect. Seven years later she's found solace in the bookstore she owns, finding love between the pages of the books she reads. Haven has adapted to a life without love or men, living vicariously through her best friend and roommate.

He's Perfect. Just ask him. Latch McKay is gorgeous, rich and successful. A famous graphic designer, he's well known for the video games he creates. However, he's also known for the trail of women he leaves behind. Latch is the walking, talking definition of wanton sex.

When Latch sees Haven at a party it's lust at first sight. A night of intoxicated passion leaves him wanting her so much he's almost willing to give up his man-whore crown. Haven has no idea why this gorgeous and much younger man wants her. After two weeks of Latch stalking her...his version of wooing — Haven has tried everything to make him go away.

But, Latch doesn't give up, and Haven finally agrees to one date. If Latch can break through Haven's walls, he just might have a chance to keep her. Unfortunately Latch has a secret of his own. As Haven's walls begin to crumble, Latch's dark secret begins to emerge.

5.0 out of 5 stars Latch, the dirty talking Scot, will steal your heart! 30 July 2014

I was introduced to Cory Cyr when I picked up her first release Bite and Release. I loved that one and knew I would definitely be picking up her future releases. When I saw the blurb for this one, it only made me want to read it more. I love the older woman/younger man storyline. Haven was a woman who had a totally one-sided horrible relationship with a man who tried his hardest to kill her spirit. She's a strong woman but damaged. Latch is a totally sexy video game designer who has quite the reputation with the ladies Did I mention he has an accent? Yes, he's Scottish. These two together are HAWT. Latch is quite the dirty talker and he was able to bring out Haven's naughty side as well. It was fun to read about Haven's sexual awakening. You get a couple of short chapters from Latch's POV and it was great to read about the intensity of his feelings for Haven. Their best friends (Weezie and Keenan) were great support systems for Haven and Latch. I wouldn't mind a story about them. Hint Hint Cory!! There was a twist that I saw coming but it didn't take away my enjoyment of the story. I definitely recommend this book to everyone!

1.0 out of 5 stars Much to be desired imo 12 September 2014

Maybe it's just me but when the man you love more than life, essentially forces himself on you, I wouldn't give him another chance even if I got pregnant from that encounter. Yes, he went to rehabilitation and after four months he is supposedly cured who is to say he won't relapse? When he takes, when you would've given freely does not make him a man worth knowing or a father figure at all. I understand he had an addiction, but if he loved her as much as he said, he should've trusted her with that addiction by he didn't and that doesn't work with me

1.0 out of 5 stars ZERO 5 October 2014

If I could give this a zero, I would. I hated both the hero and heroine. The former had an unredeemable character and the latter was too shallow and immature for her age (acts and thinks like a 20 y/o). They were both annoying.

The writer had poor imagery and her laziness for research showed in her vague description for some settings or situations. I question how this material even managed to get published because of several issues it illustrated: rape, codependency, etc, that feminism today is fighting so hard against, but this book failed to address. These issues cannot be solved by a kiss and make-up. The two protagonists were too sick in their minds to realistically find their happily ever after. With my most honest opinion, I think this book is poison to many women who can believe in this kind of story.

5.0 out of 5 stars A novel about the revival of two lost souls! 1 August 2014

Haven Wells is a thirty-seven year old woman who doubts her own worth and ability to be loved. Latch McKay is a rich, sexy and green-eyed twenty-five year old. Both Haven Wells and Latch McKay have personal troubles that threaten to make their blissful state come crashing down. Will these two marred souls find their revival and meet their happily ever after?

Reviving Haven opens with a tidal wave of eroticism. After that wave hits, you are left standing there thinking `I was not expecting that.' I loved this story and was spellbound from the beginning.

I found Haven Wells to be a likeable character. She is sweet, but has personal doubts that plague her. Her soul is damaged and her past constantly haunts her. Latch McKay is young and has plenty of sexual stamina. He has his own demons and secrets to deal with.

Sure, there's a lot of sex in this story, but Latch McKay is a young erogenous male. Haven and Latch compliment each other; their playful nature was natural and they really seemed to be captivated by each other.

Reviving Haven is a sexy, sweet, and romantic story. Your heart will melt for Latch and ache for Haven. This story will leave you satisfied and over-joyed when you find out what happens to these two.

I highly recommend this story to anyone looking for an erotic contemporary romance with a charming and lovable young male character.

5.0 out of 5 stars May-December Romance? Yes, Please! 18 August 2014

Reviving Haven is my second book by Cory Cyr and I loved it just as much as the first. Both books have the theme older-woman-younger-man and she pulled the story line off well each time.

Haven is a 37 year old single woman, business owner and emotionally beaten down. After a mentally abusive six year relationship, Haven's self esteem is in the gutter and finding a man is the last thing on her list. Her previous boyfriend criticized her looks and sexual performance so much, she really doesn't think she has anything to offer a guy anymore. Haven lives with her best friend since college Weezie, who is a total sleeze still and tries her best to get Haven back on the horse.

Lachlan (Latch) McKay is a 25 year old millionaire manwhore, out looking for his next victim. He doesn't do the girlfriend thing, just likes to have a good time. He is a confident, cocky young man who is use to getting exactly what he wants, which is Haven the minute he sees her.

Haven sees the beautiful Latch, but knows he is way too young for her. After needing a bit of air at the party, Haven gets to know Mr. Sex-on-a-stick a little more intimately. Maybe it was the tequila, maybe it was the hot man, who knows, all Haven knows is that it was the best night of her life.

Latch isn't one to back down from a challenge and that is what Haven is, a challenge. He tries to woo her in his best millionaire boy toy way possible, but she is a tough nut to crack. Haven has lots of emotional baggage from her past, as well as the age difference constantly in the forefront of her mind. Latch is too young for her, she knows it, but can't help but want to still be with him. He is awakening something inside of her, something she hasn't felt. Ever.

Like Cory Cyr's other book, both of our main characters have problems. While Havens are front and center, Latch's aren't and his are pretty bad. You just knew there had to be something more going on with this charming playboy. As the skeletons come out of his closet, Haven is the one to pay the price for them.

I liked Reviving Haven, my one complaint would be the wishy-washy ways of Haven. Yes she was abused in the past, but it didn't seem like she made much effort to move on before Latch. The book is well written and all kinds of sexy. Latch definitely moves in to book boyfriend territory in my opinion.
