Tungdil continues to champion the Dwaves against hideous feats of magic machines twisted into evil creatures set on the destruction of the dwarves & deeper goals that could spell the destruction of all life on Girdlegard. Only Tungdil & his trusted companions can fight this evil, if betrayal does not tear them apart 1st.
Along with old favorites & new characters just as well crafted as you would expect, this instalment in the epic Dwaves series doesn't fail to stand strong next to it's predecessors.
Next read before the new Triumph of the Dwarves, it's essential to read The Legends of the Alfar triligy.

I not only love this bookReviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 February 2018
I not only love this book, I love this series of books. As a huge fantasy book fan I have been a bit disappointed with some of the more recent trilogies and series, but this series hits all my buttons. If you love LotR, the Hobbit, Shannara etc. you'll love this.
Great book sequenceReviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 August 2020
Can recommend these books to anyone who loves fantasy and Lord-of-the-Ring creatures. Well written.
Teen fiction continuesReviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 December 2012
Again, loads of great plot lines; our characters flesh out their personalities, but I am left feeling that this is done deliberately to 'tick the box' of character development, rather than as an organic progression, Some great 'cinematic' moments interrupt, instead of enhancing, the flow of the plot. I have ordered volume 4 with the clear expectation that our heroes will remain two-dimensional, but with continued interest in Marcus Heitz development of the Dwarves world.
