Evil is on the rise as Emperor Vosper prepares to march his army on the rebel stronghold of Parthos and finally end the last piece of resistance against his reign. Now the rebels need to rally every ally they have if they hope to hold out against the forces of evil.
Meanwhile, Elias holds the key to a rebel victory and Vosper’s demise, bringing back to dragons. Unfortunately, Vosper and his spies are on his trail. He is aware of this prophesy and means to stop it.
The second book is a big test for any fledgling author, a sequel to a first book is a gigantic test. Return of the Dragon Riders, I feel, does not disappoint. Taking the plot, the danger and the struggle Elias and the rebels of the first book, Alva builds on this wonderfully and expands this wonderful world she’s created. As a reader, you can see this world and it’s characters grow.
Elias, carried far away from his home with the weight of the world on his shoulder, you see his courage tested and how he grows as a young man and as a character. In the first book, he’s been thrown into a prophesy involving dragons, now in the second book he starts to live up to it.
Whether you’ve read the first book or just picked up this one, you will not be disappointed and will find this book extremely enjoyable. Trilling and exciting, it is packed with everything a fantasy story
needs, dragons, dwarves, magic, evil and a ancient prophesy.
