This book is both short and when I purchased it free ... so it had a couple of advantages before I even started . I have to say that I was enlightened by a large number of counter-cultural facts relating to the resurgence of Christianity in numerous countries, counteracting the gloomy narrative that appears to be all pervasive in the mainstream media today. The book is very encouraging and very insightful in addition to being well researched with a plethora of citations, as we might expect with Dr Turley,
Dr Turley always provides up to date and thoroughly researched information. So I have been waiting for this book since he first mentioned that it was to be his next publication. I am about 2/3'rds the way through Eric Kaufmann's 'Shall the Religious Inherit the Earth' which is close to 10 years old now. So Dr Turley's book is a welcome update on current trends and complementary to Kaufmann's thesis. I am very much looking forward to reading this book and I recommend Dr Turley's other works to you.
You can also catch him on his YouTube channel where he posts twice daily (except on Sundays).
I loved this book. In a single read, with well researched arguments, my previous pessimistic future view for a Christian Europe was totally shaken. This is exciting stuff to read, tracing the undercurrents changing the nations in Europe and beyond. The author has an ability to penetrate beyond the main stream narrative and even the institutional predictions of the Catholic church, plus social commentators like Murray. An essential read.
Congrats on a thought provoking read. The writer has presented an original perspective regarding the place of Christianity in the west at odds with the overwhelming narrative usually offered. The perspective is well researched.
