Fantastic, I liked Tiley so much more in this book and fell in love with Sam all over again. But the cherry on top for me was Riley, I can`t wait for his book.

5.0 out of 5 stars SUNSHINE 13 July 2016

I'm a firm believer that book reviews should be personal. They should be filled with the emotion, the gripping feeling that the book made me experience. Sometimes it's difficult to fully articulate the magnitude of this...and yet sometimes, it's simple.

While reading the Walsh Series, I've felt everything under the sun. Extreme joy followed by gut wrenching sadness. The acute symbiosis that comes with shared experiences. (Yes, I do realize these are fictional characters, and yet they are very realistic.) There is something profoundly soul-searing when you read about a couple who are experiencing all of married life's wonders. I loved getting to know Mr. and Mrs. Sam Walsh. Their story is very recognizable, filled with passion, both misunderstandings & make-ups. And that's the true heart of it. Sam and Tiel are crazy about each other. Whatever life has to throw at them, they will climb that 'trust-tree'  together and deal.

Restored was beautiful. It managed to represent the roller coaster ride that marriage can often be (especially the first year) with great humor and accuracy. There are times when Sam slipped into old habits, or Tiel said something wrong and those moments are the ones that struck me most. I love reading. Usually it's to escape everyday life. One of the best things I've realized while reading the Walsh Series is that I enjoy reading about real people. Real characters. People that you can expect to be living in Boston, eating at food trucks, drinking gin & tonics. Kate Canterbary has this amazing knack for grasping the best part of human interaction and molding it into these amazingly bright characters. They shine off the page. They burn so bright.

Please, please do yourself the pleasure of reading this amazing story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfectly Restored 12 July 2016

I absolutely love this series and the entire family that it is about. Restored is the continuation of Sam and Tiel’s story and unlike the other books in this series, it really shouldn’t and can’t be read as a standalone. At the end of Necessary Restorations, I loved Sam and Tiel as a couple but still wasn’t completely sold on them as individuals. There were quite a few unanswered things for me and that kept me from loving them individually as much as I have loved the characters from the other books in the series. Restored has completely changed that for me. Every question I had, that very small thing I couldn't figure out that kept from really connecting to the characters separate from each other was suddenly gone and I connected to them completely. When I read the last word on the last page, I felt lost. This book made me feel such a broad spectrum of emotions that I knew I would need time to recover before I could read anything else. It’s not often that a book will completely consume my thoughts and emotions after I finish reading it but this book is definitely on that short list.

The book picks up after Sam and Tiel’s reunion. For a couple who became engaged in the epilogue of Necessary Restorations and married in The Cornerstone, it was amazing to see how they overcame the obstacles in their relationship to move forward. Their journey toward each other hasn’t been easy but together, when they are honest and communicating, and stable, they can face anything.

What I loved so much about this story is its realness. Love is not always clean, clear lines toward HEA. Life can be difficult. Family can be difficult. Things come along that can test a relationship and the strength of the people in it. When a relationship is a partnership, no mountain is too steep. That is what I saw in Sam and Tiel’s relationship in this book. Keep tissues handy. I cried and laughed so much during this book and once I started, I couldn’t stop until the last page. This is hands down my favorite in the series so far!

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh my GOSH ..... 5 million Stars!! 14 July 2016

Ok, so I admit I am a Walsh fan ... BIG TIME!! I stumbled across the first book (Matt & Lauren) on Amazon when I was between good books and this one was free. Greatest 'book day' of my life. I've been hooked, a total Walsh junkie, since that day. This book did justice to the amazing couple of Sam & Tiel. Wow, Sam's personal growth was beautifully written into the story without being written (if that makes sense). We, the readers, just know without it being made a big deal. The book timeline was genius. Starting immediately after their reunion in book 3 & encompassing Shannon's story. We got a full book of the Walsh family all the while Sam and Teil were the main focus. It is just beautifully written. I believe that there is no one who can write a story like Kate Canterbary. Strong & independent women and the strong men who love them without trying to control them. I LOVE it! I love a smart book & this is what it is. Well worth the wait. I'm extremely excited to read Erin's story. That is going to be FANTASTIC. And of course, Riley's story is coming next year. Can't wait for that.

Soooooooo, my recommendation is this ..... Buy this book. Buy this series. You won't be disappointed. (And nope I didn't receive this as an ARC but it is my honest opinion) 😉😉

What's going on with Andy & Patrick? I sure hope they 'talk' to you soon so we can have an update. Poor Andy has to fill up her Pinterest board with everyone else's weddings & baby showers. I want to see her get that. I want to see Patrick gushing over her. They deserve a good HEA story.

I was going to ask about Matt & Lauren but I kind of feel, huh, settled with them even though there are no kids. So no question.

Beautiful work once again Kate Canterbary. Just wonderful!
I'll be staying a Walsh Groupie forever.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not just restored, but rebuilt 13 July 2016

The heart of this story is Sam and Tiel, but the soul is the Walsh family. This novel conveys an all consuming variety of touching situations affecting all the Walshes, friends and significant others. Glimpses into the issues and concerns of various characters provide depth and complications for everyone. The crisis that Sam and Tiel endure in their new married life reflects how important communication and self awareness are to success. The emotional growth Sam, Tiel, Riley, Shannon and even Patrick have experienced in this series is brilliantly portrayed. Sam has made huge strides in his maturity and character. But Riley has become the most fascinating man, showing maturity, flashes of genius, while still being a comic book savant and a man-child. The restoration alluded to in the title goes far beyond the buildings the Walshes professional renovate. The rebuilding of their personal lives is gradual, funny, charming and tenacious. Their determination to overcome their horrendous childhoods is remarkable and inspiring. This is a touching story that truly conveys the love of individuals for each other and the complete unadulterated love of a remarkable family that has had to rebuild itself.
5.0 out of 5 stars Restored: The Walsh Brothers Series, Sam and Tiel Finally get their story 22 September 2016

Restored is book five in the Walsh Brothers series by Kate Canterbary. Having read the other four books, I'd recommend reading them in order.

Sam Walsh who build furniture for their sustainable Architect business has finally return from Maine where he was on a sabbatical and healing his mind, body and soul. Tiel Desai is so happy that her soul mate has returned. Once again Riley interrupts during a hot and heavy moment due to lack of doors in the loft. But its Sam and Tiel's love for each other that makes the entire book with updates on Sam's brothers and their soul mates; Matt and Lauren, Patrick and Andy plus Shannon and Will. Can Tiel over come her families neglect of her and will Erin ever get her own book?

Tiel Desai had finally received her doctorate in Music Therapy, loves Sam Walsh with all her heart and soul but when it comes to her family they only celebrate the accomplishments of Agapi not hers. So she decides that the Walsh family will be hers, marries Sam and has great arguments about Riley leaving the "nest" AKA finding his own place to live so that he can eat his huge bowls of cereal in his boxers without Sam wanting him to move out. There is a heartbreak when Sam and Tiel experience a loss and Sam goes through tests related to his diabetes but in the end there are two new additions to the Walsh family from Shannon and Tiel. Yes, there is a lot of sex but this is a romance book and who doesn't love a little afternoon delight in the book they are reading?

Hopefully, Riley and Erin's books will be coming out soon because Ms. Canterbary's Walsh Brothers series are on
