This guy lost his ghostwriter who was superb. This effort, his own is pathetic.
Excellent!Reviewed in the United States on 29 November 2015
This was another excellent read in this series. The Karp family is still riven by the adventures of the previous book, but must work together against a new threat. I found the personal character development to be more than ever before the central aspect of the book. And the action and plot were a bit outside the usual range of my suspension of disbelief.... But it was absolutely a page turner, just like the others... Lucy is more central to this adventure than ever, and it is terrible to see her endangered! Felix Tighe is the worst villain created in the entire series, and it is terrifying to see him target Lucy.

Two for TwoReviewed in the United States on 20 February 2007
This is the second Karp book I have read and if it's not up to the first (the first of the series) it is still good, entertaining reading. As with his first installment in the series the author keeps your interest up through a lot of plot twists and turns. I like books that push the edge (intricate serial killers, semi-super private eyes etc) without quite going over. This book does that. A pedantic terrorist, a crazed/possessed serial killer, a courtroom giant, they all all here. I liked the plot and the characters, except for Karp's wife. She can go sell crazy somewhere else, I got tired of her. I'll keep enjoying the series.

Great Series, Great ReadReviewed in the United States on 30 May 2020
Who doesn’t love Butch and Marlene ..... and a cast of characters and one terrific dog. This lives up to expectations I have for this series.
